  1. Take a bite- if it tastes disgusting to you then the bass will like it
  2. 4/o ewg for everything over 4" and under 8" And for worms you dont need any bullet weight at all. Go weightless
  3. I've wondered for the longest time... what is EXCALIBUR? I usually find these lures in the clearance bins.. and Excalibur has no website or official affiliation. And I know that there is an XCalibur brand.. are these the same brand? They definitely have a different label and different quality- Xcalibur lures are much better quality and more expensive than Excalbiur. Anyone have any info on Excalbiur? Excalibur Shallow Fingerling Excalibur Pop'N Image Jr.. (is there any relation to the Heddon Pop'N Image Jr.?) Is this a spin off brand...? so mysterious...

  10. Hey all! As I am heading back to Florida in December, I've been thinking about which pond I'm going to hit first. This one pond, I like to call Angry Man (because I was yelled out by some Angry Man one time I was there), is closest to my house and holds some very nice bass (caught my pb 6lb 7oz there). I first fished it in June 2013 with my buddy, we were pulling out nice fish ranging from 1lb to 5lb, lots of nice chunks. I returned in February 2014, and the pond was awful, low water... lots of bass in sight, nothing was eating. Then i took a trip in July 2014, and the pond was restored to its normal levels, but there were no bass in sight and no bass eating (except the one anomaly, where i hooked into the 6lb 7 oz bass). That was the only sizeable bass i caught there on that trip. I caught a few smaller bass (<12 inches) actually on little spinners, but nothing else over 12 inches. I have no idea what could have happened to all the other fish... I don't believe they died.. there is plenty of food, bluegills and other panfish flourish and frogs too. I'm stumped... I'm going to hit it up when I get down there, things could be back on or be dead.. I haven't a clue....
  11. Blydenburgh lake Long Island NY. Step 1: Find a spot to cast No other steps b/c you won't find a spot to cast in the summer
  12. Hey all, Yesterday I went to the river (its really the size of a stream though), and waded down it in pursue of multiple species. I caught multiple brook trout, and one rainbow. This is my new winter hobby since the lakes are frozen and so are the bass. The river is freezing cold but has a constant flow and never freezes.
  13. Oh. I caught lots of brook trout, biggest being 2lbs, and one rainbow
  14. Is the website down for anybody else???
  15. Beautiful fish!! Caught some trout this morning as well. And that second photo, if im not mistaken, is a little brook trout for sure, not a rainbow. Caught them this morning
  16. I also don't really understand the punch rig, never used or seen it be used before. Is there a hook?? Or do you add a hook or what..? And size difference between the 3/8 oz punching jig and a 1/2 oz, how much of a difference?
  17. Thanks for the clarification Mike! Also another little question- swim jigs, regular one vs wide gap one? Im looking to use keitech fat impact 3.8 swimbaits as trailers and skinny dippers.. Do you think the wide gap is necessary for swimbait plastics as trailers?
  18. Hey all, The time has come to make a Siebert order in preparation for my trip down to So. Florida in December. I've been looking at the Dredge Brush jig to fish the thick, tall grass in the ponds i fish in Florida.. I'm little stumped on whether a 1/2 oz size is necessary or just 3/8 oz. Also looking to see what your favorite jigs from Siebert Outdoors are. Thanks, Welds.
  19. jeez wait till its ACTUALLY Black friday
