  1. Thank you for all the replies. As I said, I really like the setup but just WANTED a better one, you all know how it is when you get the itch for a new rod/reel. I really like the look and reviews of the President and the *** Black, but think I am going to just go with the BPS combo. Mainly because I have two of them in baitcasters. I'm sure all the ones recommended are great but the main advantage to me is that I have a BPS less than 20 minutes from my house and have been very happy with the customer service. I once broke one of my Carbonlite rods, walked in the front door, showed them at the service desk and they said go get another one. Cant beat that deal. Thanks again for the replies, really wish there was something close to me with the ***, that sounds like an awesome rod.
  2. Thanks in advance. I am looking to buy a spinning rod reel combo. I Normally use a baitcaster but I bought a cheapo spinning reel combo from Academy (Diawa Laguna/Cherrywwood, whole thing 50 bucks), awhile back for fishing mainly Flukes(my go to...), but it really is a cheapo and I enjoy it so much that I was thinking about upgrading it to something in the $150 range. I would appreciate any suggestions as I am leaning towards the BPS Pro Qualifier/Carbonlite combo. I have two of these in baitcaster and really like them, but would appreciate some educated input. Here is the link to the BPS. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-Pro-Qualifier-Reel/Johnny-Morris-CarbonLite-Rod-Spinning-Combo/product/1408290631363/ Thank you, Glenn
