  1. Someone correct me but I think it depends on the tournament. I have fished some local club tourneys that allow culling of dead fish; and some larger opens that it was not allowed. If I'm not mistaken, the Elites do not allow culling of dead fish. And with the cameras and Marshalls on board, I don't think you could get away with it.
  2. Congrats on your new addition!
  3. Huh? What's this thread about?
  4. lol. They do say that wedding cake is the best form of birth control out there for a reason....
  5. So what do you prefer in a good solo? A screaming, fast, metal solo?; more a bluesey feel?; long, drawn out own-the-night type of thing? Although I respect and admire any talented, well put together solo, I would say this is my bag baby: (@ 2:35) I especially love the 2 lead, dueling, harmonizing type as in that song. And although Poison always kinda got a bad rap, the solo in this one is also well put together. CC Deville described it as his favorite: (@ 2:33) And I'll just leave this right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CknqOViS1Ww Again, more the fast, metal, clean, accurate type So, what does it for you? Judas Priest and Iron Maiden or BB King and Eric Clapton or do you go for the likes of Jimmy Page? Me' I love em all.
  6. ^^^ Just picked up a new G21. Can't wait to go pop some caps!

  8. Welcome Joe! Congrats on your little girl. I have 2 boys, 14 and 17. Enjoy every little moment with her. Congrats, too, on just being happy with your life as it rolls out. Refreshing introduction right there, thanks.
  9. A buddy and I were going out to some clubs last friday and the first one we went to, I got in but my buddy didn't have a tie on so the bouncer wouldn't let him in. After some hemming and hawing, the bouncer told him "just go get something and make a tie out of it". So, my buddy goes to the car, gets the jumper cables, makes a tie out of them and says "How's that?". Bouncer says, "I guess that will work. Just don't start anything...."
  10. 1. Jig 2. Jig 3. Last but not least, you guessed it, the Jig.
  11. I, too, love the Horney Toad but I'll be honest with ya; if they are not hitting it as a buzzbait, that means it's too fast, and I have found I get more hits when I let it sink just under the surface and work it with a jerk/pause instead.

  17. ^^^^ Great advice Sam. This is such a huge topic, the only thing I can add is to not get overwhelmed with all the different types, colors and presentations of soft plastics available. I'd pick 1 or 2 baits that intrigue you, go out with just these 2 baits, and fish them; get some confidence in them; then pick 2 more etc... If you try to learn all 3,472 different baits and methods at once, you're going to get frustrated. I'd start out with a simple stick bait like a Senko and some sort of texas rigged craw bait. probably 2 of the most used soft plastics out there. Go get em!!
  18. Oh, a couple of tips I forgot earlier. You will need a couple of marker buoys. If I'm on a big hump or ridge, I'll throw one on top of it and typically fish the sides. If it's a smaller piece of structure, I'll throw it away from it just to use it as a reference point. Once you start using buoys, you will be shocked at how you float around and move off your structure without realizing it.
  19. Choot em Elizabeth!!! Choot em!!!
  20. I am addicted to fishing offshore. I rarely, very rarely, fish a bank anymore. Offshore just offers so much more than a bank. Everyone can see the same things on a bank but not so offshore. First off, you need decent electronics with gps. I've tried the old "Ok, line up with the camp with the red door, that big rock and that huge pine with the broken limb"...it don't work. You just can't find that VW size spot again without gps. Second, I have found that deeper, offshore fish seem less affected by pressure changes than shallower, shoreline fish. When the bite slows down on a bank, I can go to humps and continue whackin em. It just seems easier to find biting fish on humps than down a shoreline.
  21. I'm gonna need a bigger boat...
  22. ^^^No more tips from you mister! It's because of your enticing video that I'm hooked on another technique needing more tackle! jk man, great video really explaining that rig. Can't wait to try it. Does the mold come with the center wire? How do you make the hole in the center?
