  2. See the bass in my profile pic? Biggest Bass I ever caught, didn't put up any fight in fact it felt like I was reeling in 10lbs of weeds lol! In my experience the smaller ones fight more and put on a better show, jumping and head shakes.
  3. I bank fish as well. I'll start with a crank bait first, if they are hitting that I'll switch to rubber worms etc, if they are hitting sinkers I'll start throwing a top water. If nothing bites that as well then I will finally move to a new spot and repeat the process. It has worked out pretty well for me.
  4. LOL, I remember begging my Dad to buy me the Banjo Minnow....good memories!
  5. If I'm going fishing after work I dont really think about what I'm going to bring, I'll grab the basics....1 spinner, 1 bait caster, and a box filled with top water, cranks, worms, and small swimbaits. I always have one plano box with a random assortment of stuff I take when I'm in a rush to just get to the lake.
  6. and a really great tool for removing exif data info can be found here http://removephotodata.com/ Also, Geo Tagging can usually be disabled in the settings section on your camera/smart phone and Geo Tagging will not work if you disable the GPS on your smartphone.
  7. Only person I will ever share my honey holes with is my Father
  8. You could carry on 14" wooden bat and hit the fish on the head. That'll kill it for sure, and it would be pretty instant. I still prefer the slitting the gills method, as far as the meat tasting the same...bass is bass there is no method to improve the flavor(purely subjective) : P
  9. I'm left handed on both as well, nice catches man. Keep on postin'
  10. The head faces you, tail faces away from you. Stick a knife under the gil plate and slice the gills cutting towards the tail. You don't have to do it this way, it's just sometimes the blood spurts out all over the place.
  11. Like everyone else says, real in the slack and watch that line.
  12. Personally I slit the gills in half, hold them upside down and bleed them out. They are usually dead in under 60 seconds, then I gut them. Less blood left in the fish makes it taste better. If you do decide to try this make sure you slit the gills with the tail facing away from you because there is a lot of blood splatter.
  13. Lassy in the back of your boat? Winning.

  16. Long enough to get er' done and put a smile on my face at the end of the day.
  17. The two times I had bass, I cooked it with a little lemon and butter. Both times the meat tasted like dirty lake water, kind of a weedy taste. I'm sure if I covered it in egg and batter it would have tasted so much better, but I'm not really one to try and hide the taste of nasty just so I can eat something. Hell what do I know, it's not like taste is subjective right guys?
