  1. Nice Catch. FEAR THE BEARD!!!
  2. Its trolling motor only. You can have your outboard on the boat you just cant use it.
  3. No problem. Just glad I can help.
  4. You should be able to. I used my flipping/punching stick(rated up to 1.5oz as well) for a while with my 68.
  5. Youre definitely gonna have to wait a while until it thaws.
  6. I have Diawa, Pflueger, Shimano reels but my favorite are my Abu Garcias. ABU GARCIA FOR LIFE!!
  7. ^^This guy knows whats up^^ It works great in freshwater as well.
  8. We have some snakeheads up here in VA. I had good luck catching em with a Red eye shad right when the water temps hit the mid 50's. My set-up: 7' med action, Revo S, and 12lb Seaguar Red Label. (12lb sounds light but Ive caught a few DD snakeheads on it, I found its more about how you fight the fish IMO) Things are probably different down there but this is just my two cents.
  9. I rarely resort to pitchin or punchin. I found frogs, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits and squarebills let me cover a lot more water and focus on the more active fish. The Potomac is a big place with lots of fish. I like to try to take advantage of that.
  10. I personally love the grass minnow. I caught some decent fish on it. Nothing huge but it draws bites from just about anything. It makes the size and color of the hatch here perfectly. The do have a really so ROF so its not really a deep bait.
  11. 1.) Zoom Baby Brush Hog - Watermelon Red 2.) Roboworm Straight tail worm 6" - Oxblood Red 3.) Booyah Pad Crasher - Bullfrog 4.) Strike King 4s - Sexy shad 5.) Strike King 3xd - Sexy ghost shad 6.) Strike King 5xd - Gizzard Shad 7.) Strike King 1/4oz spinnerbait- white/red 8.) Strike King Red Eye Shad 1/2oz.-Gold Sexy Shad 9.) Yamamoto senko 5" - Watermelon Purple Flake 10.) Huddleston 68 special - Gray and black They arent in any special order just how they came to mind.
  12. I love them. It fired up a school my first time out with it. Drag it across the bottom and hold on!
  13. Go with Strike King. 3xds and 5xds are my go to. 4s for the square bill in heavy cover. Honestly you only need a few colors, match the hatch and youll be good.
  14. I use the Wright and McGill Skeet Resse Tessera Drop shot rod. Its 7'2" and has a medium fast taper. It casts a 1/8oz drop shot a country mile and can skip a wieghtless senko like a pro. For 90 bucks you cant beat it.
  15. Im definitely getting the Okuma. It looks like the most bang for the buck and there is nothing but great reviews about it. Thank y'all
  16. it came with a trolling motor, fish finder and more but i had to strip it down before I covered it up.

  19. Id love to but i dont know how. Im new here haha
  20. Just an update. I found an amazing deal on a 14ft tracker jon with outboard, platform, trolling motor, fish finder etc. I planned on buying new but it was too good of a deal to pass up. Thanks for all the help. The support on this site is awesome.
  21. I was wondering if yall had any suggestions for a good swimbait rod. I plan on using it for some 6' huds, punkers etc. The heaviest weight would probably be around 4oz. I would like to keep the price as low as possible. (under $150, under $100 would be amazing) Thanks.
  22. Thank yall for all the advice and support. I think I'm gonna go with the 798.
  23. I'm willing to spend about $800. I don't really have any requirements for it. Although I've installed fish finders and my brother has one on his boat we never really use them. I'm open to anything and willing to learn. I'd prefer a larger screen.
