  1. I hear ya man.
  2. So you are trying to tell me it's low tide.
  3. Man sucks being in the NE right now.
  4. Nice haul. So far the only thing I've caught with Mike's jigs are rocks. I Lost my blue gill swim jig on Saturday in rocks, and i lost my dredge brush jig last weekend in rocks. Me thinks i need to invest in some waders. Where were you fishing?
  5. Nice, I lost my Seibert blue gill swim jig the other day in the rocks as I was changing up my retrieves. Let it drop to the bottom and that was that.
  6. I did have strike, but It spit the hook over on Pompton Lake. I have a write up about in the fishing report section
  7. Ok, good. So it isn't just me.
  8. I was thinking about this also that I should of set the d**n hook even though he already had it clamped in his mouth. God, i think I'm gonna be sick, It would of been a pig and my PB. Tell you what after that I started setting the hook on everything even if a fish farted in my direction. It caught me by surprise because I didn't expect it cause I was out there for a couple of hours, and everybody I spoke to said they didn't catch anything, that it was dead.
  9. No it wasn't a turtle, I could see the flash and shimmer of a fish.
  10. I AIN'T CAUGHT JACK $#!1!!!! Had a strike yesterday, but spit the hook.
  11. Oh and to make it worse, I went to cast to the same spot and my tackle snaps of in the other direction. Took me forever to tie on new tackle because i was so pumped. I just wanted catch what ever that was.
  12. Was using a T rigged Space Monkey with a plain cast and retrieve. Had cast it past and over a laydown. Once it got to the log I thought I had it snagged in some weeds which are in that spot, or snagged on the log. So I put pressure on my rod to pull it thru and I feel movement. I was oh crap this is big because it felt like I was stuck our snagged good. I was Like oh yeah, all these guys on Their boats catching nothing, and I'm here on shore pulling in a pig. It felt like I had it good cause he was on it for a while, and then nothing. Thought it broke off but I cranked in and my lure was still on. I was not a happy camper. Then I thought it wasn't a bass because it didn't really fight hard or head shake aggressively like bass I've caught in the past, but It was a biggn'. I am thinking it was either a carp which do live in this lake or a channel cat. What do you think.
  13. This past or still winter has been brutal up here. I've been to different bodies of water and haven't seen any beds our bedding bass so they might be spawning later than usuall. Also saw some dead turtles and pumpkin seeds at one lake. Maybe somebody up this way can clarify this and is having the same issues. Did see plenty of perch chasing my jigs and Space Monkeys.
  14. So you would use this with you're foggn' or flippn' stick.
  15. HAHAHAHA! Just try to keep it simple... Then the bait monkey pounces.
  16. Well, its better than getting skunked... I'm happy when I snag some weeds... it feels like a strike
  17. Good thing they are cheap cause I bought a few. If anything they will look good in my 3500 Plano Spinner Bait box
  18. And if it doesn't catch jack, it will be one of those "What the BLEEP is that " conversation pieces.
  19. Thanks for the tips. Shoot for a buck I'll use it and see what happens. LET THE LILLY PADS SPROUT FORTH!
  20. ...By the way Wallyworld is selling Bomber spinner baits for a $1.50 every size 1/16 - 3/8 in white or chartreuse or both with just a Colorado or Colorado and Willow... but you didn't hear it from me.
  21. Its a Heddon Moss Boss that I bought at Wallyworld for a $1. It has some good colors, and can probably catch something with it.
  22. I do like a softer action toilet paper as well.
  23. Thanks... Thanks allot guys. When I think I have it in the bag, you guys reel me right back in... I guess I'll be heading to Wally World after work... not that I'm complaining our anything.
  24. They are probably stronger in the rivers because they are swimming against the current all the time. They probably think lake bass are girly mens.
