  1. I think there it's already a sticky for this somewhere on here.
  2. I have it in the EVA split grip version 7' H/F I'm gonna use for froggn', swim baits, flippn'. It's a nice rod for the money. I think I got it on sale for like 48 bucks in thier Bargain Cave.
  3. The 6'6" M/F is a Fenwick Eagle, and the 7' MH/F is a Cabelas Eagle 50 if that helps. Like you said though testing them out on the water is the only reel way to know what they like.
  4. So I was thinking on the 6'6" M/F- Senko types t-rigged weightless or whacky weightless, small and super flukes weightless small to medium square bills and shallow CBs. On the 7' M/H- 1/4 oz to 1/2 oz spinner baits and chatter baits, same with swim jigs and regular jigs plus 3/8th sizes. Seen people say c-rigs, and weighed t-rigs, and lipless cranks like the Rat L Traps. What do you guys think? Is there anything I should change around.
  5. 6'6" M/F 7' MH/F What baits for the M/F, and what baits for the MH/F? I have a H/F I will be using for froggin, 1oz to 2oz swimbaits, and flipping. Thanks

  7. Nice fish. Looks like you're measuring a 2x4... Whatcha buildn' hmm?
  8. Shweeeeet!
  9. That sounds like an idea. I might try this.
  10. Do any of you trim the "legs" on the Booyah Pad Crasher? If you do how much do you trim off?
  11. Piggn' piggn' and a half. Nice Hawgs.
  12. The keys to my fishing reel... ... I keed, I make haha. I haven't left any thing physical yet, but I've left my sanity behind many of times.
  13. DSG has 20% off of Booyah, and Rebel Frogs, Z MAN Chatter frogs and regular Chatters, and on Spro Jigs. So the bait monkey and I decided it was a good Idea . Plus I had a 10$ off Coupon . Can't wait to try out these guys out... Now to find room in my tackle bag
  14. What also helps if you are tightening down your knot attach your hook to the ears of your scissors or forceps, and use them as leverage... Just thought I'll throw that in there also.
  15. I get this also time to time, especially when your hands get wet allot.
  16. 7 twist improved clinch knot works great also with braid.
  17. Glad to have you aboard at Golf Resource.com. Make sure you visit the welcome page.
  18. Also hold your rod to the side, or where your reel is leaning to the left or right making your spool sit vertical our almost vertical once you launch your line. I kind of have a feel for it now where I know where to adjust my brake and spool tension knob after the first couple of casts.
  19. It takes some practice. I was in the same boat as you. I'm allot better now, but still get a BL here and there. There is a sweet spot though, and once you find it you'll know it.
  20. Will barbless work with a whacky rig? Wouldn't the Senko just fly off?
  21. Booyah, Strike King to name a few make good spinner baits. Get them in white, chartreuse, white and chartruese. Get them with double willow blades, willow blade and a Colorado blade, and single Colorado blade. Blades colors in silver for clear water and gold for stained water, our you can get them with one gold and one silver on the same bait.
  22. And they are cheaper than Senkos.
  23. Yeah, it's nice, but it isn't that big. I'm pretty much on the opposite end of it. There's is some nice three lbrs in there, but like I mentioned they were busy making chidrens. I must of dropped the plastic in front of those guys 100 times but like usuall they ain't thinking about eating. There are plenty of panfish, heard some nice catfish, one giant black carp, and 2 coi, very diverse. I'm surprised this little pond survived the winter. I guess the borough it's in takes really good care of it. Plus it's catch and release only.
  24. Didn't notice that until I saw the picture, no I got him in the side of the mouth. He did bleed a little, checked his gills they looked ok.He was fine when I released him.
  25. It ain'y nothing to write home about, but it's a large mouth. Plus I caught it on my first attempt at whacky rigging. Hopefully the stink is off of me now. Went to this small local pond with my son and wife with only 3 bags of stick worms and my spinning gear. There were some biggn's in there but they were busy doing the horizontal Tango.
