  1. And did some bank fishing with the fam. It started small, but it got better. Some of these are multi pics of the same fish. In all 4 bass were caught which a call a good day in my book for bank fishing. These guys love hanging around the beaver lodge. My son also caught several blue gill and perch... he's always killing it with the night crawlers.
  2. I think they have both. They also carry Sun Dolphin, and Field and Stream brand kayak, and they should be in the same price range you are looking at.
  3. Git Lawd, 6' at 15!? Anywho, if you just want to jump in and jump out to fish, and not fish out of it check out the Pelican brand of yaks at Dicks
  4. I don't know how big you are, but check out the Feelfree Move Angler. It's at your price point.
  5. Check out Dicks Sporting Goods, they'll have something for fishing in that price range. You can also check out the CL and find some deals on used. IMO I would look for a fishing specific yak that will have the rod holders and what not.
  6. Agree with you Catt, they are not like the old Zebcos. Bought my 4 yr old son a platinum Shakespeare spin caster, and let me tell you what a piece of crap. Line was always getting tangled on the inside it was ridiculous. Through that junk in the garbage, and went out and bought him a Zebco Micro 33 immediately you could tell it was a better reel. So far it's going strong and no inner birds nests yet.
  7. But then again I haven't hit the white water rapids which I don't intend to...
  8. Don't know about flimsy plastic, I've hit and ran over plenty of rocks and boulders, and still no holes. Haven't heard anybody complaining about the plastic cracking or what not. I love my Lure 11.5.

  11. You're gonna love that seat, I can sit in it all day even with my Chinook PFD on. The stability is really awesome, I got to really feel how stable this thing is last week when I was out on a lake with some boat traffic, it's only a 10mph restricted lake, but there were some jetskis with way more hp pushing it out there. I had no issues while standing with all the boat and Jetski wake. The wheel is handy, once I have it balanced I can pull my yak fully loaded thru grass, dirt, up and down hills with no issue. The issue I have with the wheel is loading it on top of the Explorer. When you raise it, and try to lean it against the truck it wants to roll back so it's a pain to car top on something that high, but I fixed that problem by shoving a piece of pool noodle cut long ways in between the front of the wheel and kayak so it keeps the wheel from spinning. You're gonna like it good...
  12. Now they are made in Korea, well at least the BB1s are.
  13. Sup, what's wrong with Ford? I do agree with your Lew's history comment that's why I have 4, but there no need to drag Ford into this...
  14. I don't know what your talking about, I use 18lb sufix floro for flippn an pitchn jigs, and it's awesome. It stretches much less than a mono in that pnd test. I don't have any knot problems. I've pulled in trees with it.
  15. Good info, I'm planning on getting the HMG 6'6" MH it comes with the shorter handle which is great for my yak fishing.
  16. Well, that is embarrassing. My son's 15 dollar shakespear combo has the specs on the rod....
  17. Plus I like the shwag you can get thru their rebates when you get there higher end reels...
  18. Yes, with bass blood... BWAHAHAHAAHAH!
  19. I use the Rapala braid shears, and never had a problem with them. They cut pretty good.
  20. You cut the tip of your rod, or you cut the Rod Glove. That's happened to me a couple of times. All you have to do is flex the material, and it will open enough to push the tip back through.
  21. Check out Reflekt Polarized, have a pair and fit nicely. They start at 79$-129$. They make floating frames also, and they have an awesome lifetime warranty. Check out Peppers also a great lifetime warranty, and are below your price point.
  22. You'll like the Lew's BB1, I have 2 they are smooth as butter. Once set up right they will cast a mile.
