  1. First fish of the year, and first ever pandemic fish... No biguns, but quantity. All caught on a Pad Crasher Jr (which I found at another lake) and a T-rigged Rage Tail Structure Bug. All in spars emerging lily pad between 1-2 fow.
  2. Same here on Sunday, me and my son went out. I got bit on a 1/4 oz VMC Shakey Head w/ a Rage Tail Menace, but lost em when he went into a brush pile. Only action for 4 hours and chilli water.
  3. I had those, always needed to adjust them cause it would droop to low after a while.
  4. I could fit my rods in the cab for it being a F150 Super Cab, but it's usually more than just me going fishing. I've been thinking about a better way to store my rods in my truck as well. Not store persay, but loading them in the truck when going from the house to a fishing spot, and back. I have a bed cover and a 6.5' bed. right now I have a 2x6 bed divider near the tail gate so its a pain laying the rods in and retrieving them without having to release the cover. There's notches in the bed near the cab which I would drop in another 2x6 this way the rods will be laying across the 2 dividers and be alot easier to lay them in and retrieving them without having to release the cover. Oh and obviously have something to secure the rods.
  5. Yeah, I don't mind them. I use their rods and reels for my bank fishing and their 2 piece rods when I'm traveling. They've been good to me. My non KK upper tier stuff (Lew's) is on the boat (which does include a few KK RL rods though). Plus their prices can't be beat when your funding your kid's fishing addiction as well.
  6. They still cut out the middle man, just order from Amazon.
  7. When I'm bank fishing and only limited to bringing three rods I do the braid to flouro or mono. In my boat I have a rod for each specific technique I use so they have straight flouro, mono or braid the exception being my spinning rod that I use for Neko/Wacky/Ned/ hard jerk baits that will get braid to Flouro because for visibility and also cause the cover changes so much when I'm throwing Neko/Ned/Wacky from grass to rock to wood or all three at the same time. Especially when I'm skipping under docks.
  8. All my rods are between $99 and $60, and a couple that are $40 cause they were discounted from the previous mentioned prices.
  9. They're going to build one in Sayreville right by the Raritan Bridge. Thats been in the works for a few years now.
  10. Man, I was hopping you found one hidden close by up here. lol
  11. Hopatcong was pretty good to me last year.
  12. DSG in Rockaway and Wayne NJ are stocked to the gills with fishing gear. Same for the one in Paramus but smaller scale.
  13. I didn't lose many this year, it would be the Jigs of the ones I did lose.
  14. I have the older model, and use it for salad punching or slop frogging on an XH rod.
  15. I think once you try the aluminum framed versions they'll feel alot different. All I use. From the Tournament MG, MB to the BB1s.
  16. Noice, congrats on the new rig
  17. I just got into them, ordered several of the Heddon Sonar blade baits and upgraded the trebles and added single split rings per treble. Used them yesterday without issues or fish....
  18. I get my jigs from Barlows, and make my own skirts with skirt material from BOSS/ Fishingskirts.com. Barlow sells BOSS jigs as well.
  19. I like a #2 VMC weedless neko hook. Works great. now I have one hook for 2 purposes.
  20. I use a #2 VMC weedless neko hook for wacky rigging, works great, and sticky sharp.
  21. There is this one pond I go to and the water is alway a tanic color, and the bass I catch out of there are always a bronze color similar to a small mouth. Another lake that gets a really bad algae bloom, the bass I catch out of there at that time are always pale. Another lake around the same time all the bass I catch out of there have your typical LMB green and dark markings along there sides. This is usually at summer time. Pretty sure if I go out now they'll all be pretty pasty.
  22. Took advantage of the DSG BF 25% off everything in the store plus my $10 cash reward and loaded up on a bunch of soft plastics, Like Senkos (probably the best time to buy them when that's the only time they're on sale) several packs of Rage Tail Menace, Chunks, and Craws, a few packs of ZOOM Ole Monsters
  23. Plus I'm saving up for another Garmin Echomap Plus SV.
  24. Get plastic hooks and tape them to the inside of your thighs....
