  1. I was looking at these at the Fishing and Outdooor Expo the other day, Nice looking bait. What are you fishing it on? H or EH, and what taper MF or F
  2. I have the Speed Spool LFS series, Tournament MG, 2 BB1s, and just recieved the Super Duty which I'm gonna use for punching mats and inshore fishing. They all have Thier place, and they all work flawlessly.
  3. This is my Bait Monkey, and Electronics Gorilla haul for the new season. It's not alot of stuff but it did cost alot. Had to cut back on the bar hopping to be able to pay for this. The Penn Fierce II and the Penn Prevail will be for my new endevour, Surf fishing. The Lew's is Super Duty for punching mats, and some Inshore fishing. The Tuff Baits at the bottom right are made localy and the used a repurposed Slim Jim wrapping machine to package them. Plus they were cheap cause I got them at the Fishing and Outdoors Expo this past weekend.
  4. Who's got one, and how did you rig it?
  5. Adventure Technologies Angler
  6. I stand 100% of the time, unless I'm paddeling, but then again I'll do that standing up on occasion. That's why I bought the Lure 11.5. Check out the Field and Stream Shadow Caster it's almost an exact copy of the Feelfree Lure 11.5, but for half the price.
  7. Is this the same reel as the Inshore Super Duty, but in a different color. I'm gonna use it as my slop punching reel, and as an inshore reel when I go south to do some Reds, and Gator trout fishing, and maybe some fluke fishing up here. If that's the case I don't have to buy 2 reels.
  8. I use 15# Big Game Mono for backing, I'll reel it on halfway, then 50# braid for the rest. This way I'll have enough braid for 2 reels. I've never gone down to the mono with this set up either. If I start fishing deeper I will just use less mono.
  9. Hmm, that would make it easier, I was stuffing the rattle thru the butthole... How many rattles do you insert?
  10. Nice reel, I'll be ordering the Super Duty next week, and use it for the slop punching, and bring with me when I go south to do some Inshore fishing.
  11. I feel your pain man, that's what my in home tackle shop looks like
  12. I have enjoyed the yak this past season. I know the struggle is real, I've bought a Helix 5 SI, RamTransducer arm, Ram Helix mount, and hardware to mount it all, and I also just recieved my Feelfree Uni Bar Dashboard. Now I can mount my Helix 5 SI and phone to take pics right in front of me... So yes the winter is tough on the wallet. I'll be updating this thread with the new set up.
  13. It's the first thing I looked for in a kayak, was the ability to stand without having to worry about tipping and having that knowledge of not tipping at all. Thats why I went with a Feelfree Lure at 36" wide instead of the 33" that alot of the other yak brands carry. I just feel more comfortable standing, your pretty much standing all the time when your fishing from the bank, wading, on a bass boat etc. You have a better range of motion when your standing also. So I wasn't to worried about speed or distance, I can always fix that with an electric motor.
  14. There is a lake here that is river fed, never seen a crawfish, then one day in the late summer early fall of last year there were tenths of thousands all hanging around. Don't know if they were breeding, but there were a crap load. Came back the next day... gone, not one to be seen.
  15. If they are in Jersey, they should be in LI, but who knows. I've never seen Craws in this reservoir I fish, but the bass love the jigs with Craw trailer. Then I caught one that spit up a craw. Still haven't seen a live one...
  16. A Rage Tail Craw or Chunk threaded sideways works well too.
  17. This is a family friendly site sir...
  18. Feelfree Lure 11.5. SOT.
  19. The best spot is to get the Uni Bar and have it right in front of you which I'm probably gonna do on my Lure 11.5. You can also mount it on the left or right track with a Uni Track accessory mounting plate. I would recommend Ram Mount for the particular FF you will get, that way you can articulate it in what ever position you want, and you can pair it with the Ram transducer arm or Railblaza transducer arm. Now for a FF look into the Humminbird Helix 5 series. I have the Humminbird Helix 5 SI unit, that's out of your price range, but the price drops with lesser features. Hope this helps.
  20. Cause it was cheaper than a boat, and I wanted to get off the bank. I will get boat in the next couple of years so me and my son can fish together. I do love yak fishing though.
  21. Or you can do this, which I'm gonna do. http://www.makospearguns.com/Utility-Reel-p/mur.1.htm
  22. @Siebert Outdoors You should make this jig with this guys custom skirt and call it "The 11" or "The Sandwich"...with his permission of course.
  23. If your looking for some good mods check out YakAngler.com.
  24. Same here, Heavy rods at 7, MH 6'6"
  25. I have the rare but majestic wheel in the keel thing going... when that wears I just put on a new one... it'll be awhile before that happens.
