  1. What were you chucking, a chatterbait on the first couple
  2. True, they should just ban using hooks... That's another option, but where the wifey wants to go... I don't fish in lead banned states anyway so it's no biggie for me.
  3. It's a bass fish...
  4. Received my order of skirts, jig, tungsten, pack Rage Tail Anaconda, and 2 packs of Rage Swimmers 3.75" from Siebert's.
  5. He's got the stare down pat.
  6. Especially in his boxers.
  7. Same here. Gonna be better than me
  8. Flipping... In his boxers...
  9. It's happened to me. Forgot about it and dipped in JJ's, dissolved like pouring gasoline on Styrofoam.
  10. I only carry 1/4 oz and 1/2 oz Jigs. I use 1/4 oz jigs in shallow I'm talking maybe 4 to 5ft the deepest. I figure less splash is better when the fish is right there. That's what I caught my PB on this past weekend. She was in less then 2 ft of water. 1/2 oz for skipping and draging bottom.
  11. Man, Steve has a lot of Rage... ...Tail
  12. The Flamer, It's a FABULOUS shad...
  13. Hm, I was wondering why a couple of TRDs wouldn't stand up.

    New PB!

@Jtrout she's a wanna be bronze back, but she failed at the fight
  15. I don't know man, I've used the same bait in the past few outings. I mean I didn't catch anything, but I guess I haven't caught anything to damage them. I notice the ribs are much thicker than the Keitech ribs. I'm gonna order the smaller versions from Seibert so I can use them on my swim jig trailers.

    New PB!

It's probably where she's living, check the water in the first pic, it's very tanic I guess. I bet living around that beaver lodge gives her that color.

    New PB!

My last on was 3 1/4lbs, this one is 4lbs 2oz. Caught her on an 3/8 oz green pumpkin/ brown Siebert arky jig with a blue craw Rage Chunk. There's this shallow beaver made channel right off the bank. The beavers use to exit and enter their lodge. There's always a bass hanging out in this channel it being big or small. Stayed back about 5 feet to not to surprise what ever bass is chilling out in this spot. Pitched my jig, saw my line start moving to the left, set the hook, started reeling, no line was coming in, and realized my drag was lose (I loosen my drag every time I store my rods). Had to make sure I kept the rod tip up, and my thumb on the spool to keep pressure on the line while I was tightening the drag. didn't even no how big it was until I got it out of the water. I didn't even feel her eat the jig. Man when they are that big they just suck it in.
  18. Well for what it's worth, just got off the phone with a Maine FWD warden, and Lead jigs bare or painted that are under the size and weight requirement are still legal to use until September of this year. In conclusion my trip to Maine won't be affected... SHWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! I Better start ordering none lead jigs anyway, just in case I make other trips to non lead states.
  19. Definitely true.
  20. Can somebody explain this then: Seems to me you can still use bare lead jigs. Lead Sinker Law/Interpretation 1) The Department will interpret the definition of lead sinker to include any tackle that is permanently manufactured to the lead itself. When measuring for a minimum of 2.5 inches, the manufactured tackle will be included in the measurement. This will not include any additional items that have been added to the original manufacturing device. 2) Please read the manufacturer’s label carefully to determine the weight of the lead sinker. If the lead is manufactured as part of other fishing tackle, the entire piece of equipment needs to be more than 1 ounce in weight. 3) The definition of a lead sinker DOES NOT include artificial lures, weighted line, weighted flies or jig heads. 4) If a lead sinker is over 2.5 inches in length or it weighs over 1 ounce or both it is legal to use and sell or offer for sale. 5) We will interpret the law to mean that it applies to Inland Waters NOT Tidal Waters. 6) If a sinker contains any amount of lead, it will be considered illegal if it doesn’t meet the length and weight requirements. 7) Reminder: Currently the law only prohibits the use and sale of lead sinkers that do not meet the length and/or weight requirements. The sale of bare lead jigs and use of bare lead jigs not meeting the length and/or weight requirements is currently legal but will be prohibited in September of 2016 and September 2017 respectively. ? If you have additional questions relating to this topic feel free to look at Maine Audubon’s website
