My 7 year old loves watching YouTube fishing shows like 1Rod1Reel, BlacktipH, Catch Em All and the like. I like watching Darciszzle for her fishing insight myself...

I actually don't watch many. Watched Gene on his earlier stuff when I was learning a few years ago, and was taught a great deal by him. Now I just watch when I want to know how to fish a certain type of bait or a review of a product from a link I clicked on thru the Googler. I watch the TV shows more than anything, not for what they are promoting, but more for their technique or style of fishing. I think Hackney, KVD, Swindle and some of the other pros have good instructionals thru outlets like ***, and the such.

Grabbed some off colored cranks for this off colored water. 2 more Whopper Ploppers as well, one for my bank kit, and one (Monkey Butt lol was on sale) to add to the other one on the boat, some swing head jigs, and some plastics.

I carry Black Blue Flake, GP, Blue Craw (Green Pumpkin with Blue swirl).

I catch more fish from the bank than I do from my boat, but then again I fish ponds and lakes from the bank that I know because I've fished them for years and they are non boating lakes and ponds. The lakes I boat are new to me, as I'm also new to boating so I'm still learning the lay of the land on these bodies of water. All said and done though a boat does give you access to spots you can't reach from the bank.

Small landing net works for me.

Yep, what @Hezsaid. I've had plenty of bass whack my not so subtle entry into the water. Be more concerned about being stealthy when approaching the bank when your fishing from shore.

I bought a hook from West Marine similar to that except mine has a paddle at the opposite end of the hook.

Congratulations! I did that once, but a fellow boater caught it while I was backing down the ramp... that would of sucked.

The Dick' by me is stocked to the gills with Biospawn, Missile and Rage tail. I wash shocked as well with all the Z-man products TRD Ned Rig wise. The store's manager must be an avid bass fisherman. Sounds about right, I have 2 DSGs 15 minutes from me in 2 different towns. One carries the bare minimum and the other stocked to the gills

Swimbaits/Glide Baits soft and hard, Rattle Traps and the like, Buzz baits and chatterbaits. Can't catch a thing on em if my life depended on it.

Glass, it is wider and more stable than any tin boat i was looking at in that length. Considering my 6 yr old at the time being onboard made the decision easier... plus all the electronics that came with it helped.
