  1. Craziest part about the whole thing... Is that a little smile snuck in there! Congrats, that's awesome.
  2. Just made my first purchases with Siebert and am super excited to try these jigs out! Thanks for the sale Mike! Can't wait to see what you have in store for me!!!!
  3. That is a hippo!!! Sweet
  4. I was going to ask how far were the 2 locations from each other? What baits, depths, time of day? This is awesome Maine!
  5. Jordan and some ponds
  6. A jay, any chance you can let a guy in on where to find that wide gap style jig?
  7. Well Absolutely, always have been, always will be. On a side note, I actually work for Chapel Hill FD. Even our trucks are Carolina Blue. Go HEELS!
  8. You guys are all awesome! I love this site! Thanks for more sound advice
  9. All my big fish have either come on a jig and craw or zoom soft plastics. Fishing very, very slow and patient
  10. Well it has certainly been hot here in the Piedmont of North Carolina and with that hot weather the bass have moved into their awesome summer patterns. I live for the summer time weather and the bass fishing seems to be about as good as it can be. Only thing I'm missing is a Double Digit bass, but I can't be greedy. I have been catching numerous bass here anywhere from 9 lbs and down with more large fish than dinks. Bad pictures, but just had my phone set on my hat with a self timer. I'm not sure how to upload good photos via iPhone. Maybe I can fix them tomorrow when I'm not at work.
  11. Tom, do you know the habits of bluegill and crawfish at night? Are they nocturnal or diurnal, Prefer feeding at certain times or any other pertinent information regarding largemouth prey?
  12. Tired of fishing blind when I know there are so many good hidden humps, drops, ledges, flats, etc that I just cruise right over. I have studied a topo map of my lake exteniously and know of a lot of general structure features, but I really want to find those perfect spots within the already good spots. Can any of you point me in the direction of a decent portable depth/fish finder that I can easily use with a rented row boat? I appreciate the help. I guess I should add that I'm in pursuit of the biggest gals. I want to pin down their location so I can anchor up and fish strictly for that one, big bite.
  13. I did have my drag tight, but not cinched way down. The fish was still ripping line off, which I was worried about fishing right above a huge lay down. I found the Owner ST-41 I believe. Anyone ever used them? I'm wondering if the double strength hooks will add too much weight to the lure. I will have to back down on the drag a little too, but then I worry about the big ones Wrapping me in trees. I guess that's the game we play.
  14. Had a beast of a fish on my pencil Tate by Yamamoto the other morning. It was an amazing fight for 5 seconds and then there was the dreaded weightless feeling out of no where. Reeled in my lure to find the front treble, which is a quality Mustad triple grip, straightened. Another guy I know had his trebles straightened out on him the other day on the same lake. Any ideas for super strength trebles that still are extra sharp and high quality? Thanks- Ben
