Usually my fishing partner will be working some sort of soft bait if im using a hard bait like a buzz bait, so ill have him go for the fish the second time around, he does the same for me when its the other way around, i usually have a bunch of rods rigged and id pitch a soft bait myself back if i could, in the ideal situation id like to have a lightly weighted darker colored grub on to get that smallie to committ

Haha im right there with ya guys, i purchase a ton of lures during the off season and keep my mind on the up coming season, i love adding the new lures to the proper places just to get to look at all the lures i already have

Thats great when you have a day of fishing and you add to your totals big time with blow-ups, its fun when you see the swirl and rush of water pitch a lure right to where it occured and before your eyes you see the line shooting out, it helps me out personally big time when your in competition like when i go away to maine for vaction and my best friend challenge our dads and claim the championship!

i only use one type of lizard and im running out of my reserves, its the fossil lizard made by uncle josh, my favorite color is black neon, i havent even had a chance to use other colors because they seem to really like this one, whats sad is i recently found a ton of them off ebay but they have been discontinued for years, so after losing one here and there its kind of upsetting :'(. I think you cant go wrong with the zoom lizards in pumkinseed or green pumkin. Just my .02 cents- Jon

Ive bought a couple packages of these, havent used them yet because i bought them in the offseason but they do look like that...really cool looking, my thought process is they must work ;D. Here on long island we didnt get that much snow but the freezing rain and sleet are coming down in buckets which worked out well no clases for me!!

Any lizard basically does the trick, i like them with extra scent though so when the bass bash them ;D, they will hold on longer, my favorite color by far is black neon

Thats a very good question leftcoast, the few things i would say are, lakes with lots of fishing pressure like near boat ramps the fish that locate here and rarely leave are used to boat traffic and noise. I was watching a fishing show it might of been doug hannon who said this i'm not sure but, they would leave the electric motor on low while fishing in shallow water rather then turning it off, the constant turning on and off makes its more obvious i guess and the fish pick up on this. l personally believe the clearer the water the more bass notice with sight and also therefore locate better with the other senses such as hearing with a noise where its coming from. One thing that some people still get confused with is they say loud talking and screaming is bad because the bass can hear these sounds. To this day my friends dad says this to us all the time and thats in fact not true. As long as your not causing major vibrations like dropping tackle boxes or an anchor on the bottom of your boat then your all good. Lastly if you think you have upset the bass because of load noise, just back off of the area and come back 10 or 15 minutes later, its the same as a honey hole situation, i just learned this from another fishing show recently, rather than catching a few and having them signal the rest of the fish that somethings wrong, back off of the area for sometime, come back a little later on and enjoy the slaying once again!!!

I agree with BassFishingMachine, i like the scum frog lures, for me its easier with the hook ups because they are so thin, ive used the spro frog and probably set the hook too soon and have caught only 1 bass off of them while with the scum frog ive had quite a few more, im bad with patience when it comes to frogs, i guess i shouldnt be a doctor then ;D

This ones hard for me because they might be my favorite type of soft plastic to through but i guess: Yum Crawbug in black neon, like to use the 4 inch or 3.25 inch ones with booyah baby boo jighead

Your not alone at all in this category avid, im with you and im sure many others are as well, often my dad and my friends dad go fishing with live bait, my fishing buddy and i go to the same lake as thing and we refuse to use live bait, sometimes we do better but most times they do better, to me it feels much more rewarding to catch bass with lures, so i guess im stupid and stubborn as well but it sure feels good catching bass without the live bait

Im in this crew, spent just about 300 dollars on a baitcasting reel, a bunch of lures and terminal tackle, except theres no fiance to stop me as of yet ;D

First off welcome to the boards fishing=life, id say a simple texas rigged bait that is naturally colored espcially creature type baits for more profile work all year long add a small bullet weight and your set to go.

1. Worm Tied- Slinker worm-watermelon seed/Storm rattle lightnin worm-green pumpkin 2. Stickbait (senko, etc..) Senko any dark natural color 3. Fluke Zoom Superfluke-arkansas shiner 4. Craw Yum Crawbug-black neon 5. Tube Strike King bleeding tubes-green pumkin 6. Creature Very tough call for me but id have to say... Berkley bungee hawg-green pumpkin 7. Frog Scum Frog-green 8. Grub Kalins 5 inch grubs-chartreuse salt and pepper 9. Like the rst of us i dont have scientific proof but my personal experience leds me to believe it definitely helps, my friend and i were fishing the same exact lures, their were no differences in our retrieves because we were actually testing the scents eventually and wanted to make sure we were on the same page, nothing was giving and i had recently purchased bang in the crawfish scent, so i fiqured why not, loaded up the bait and caught about 5 smallies in roughly 5 minutes, finally my friends looks at me and without words i loaded up his lure with some bang craw, this story is no joke, so i dont know if it was due to the scent but had 5 more fish than my fishing partner
