Hey guys so I have been fishing for about 3 years. Fishing deep for me has always meant pulling up to different points and start casting. I never really rode over points looking for fish first, trying to mark schools, and anything else. I fished blind you could say. So lately I have been watching a lot of videos on how to find schools on points mark them with a buoy or waypoint then fish them. I tried it today, but ended up a bit confused. I am using a gen 2 HDS 9 Touch. I know this is a lot of questions, I really appreciate the help, thanks for taking the time to read this! I apologize ahead of time for the quality of two of the pictures, I ran out of storage on my depthfinder and had to use my phone to take a picture. Anyways here are the pictures: Mainly I want to know if what you see in these pictures would make you stop and fish in that spot? In the first picture I found bait, but I cant tell if there are bass with the bait. The second picture I have the same question. I believe there are bass there, but being they are in the middle of the water column would you fish for them, and how?
The third picture I wasnt sure if that was bait, crappie, or what, and if there are bass around. I am having a lot of trouble seeing a school of bait fish and telling if bass are there as well or not.
The final picture I just am confuse to what it is haha. I saw in a webinar online that this specific color scheme turns hard bottom green on sonar. So what would you think the bottom orange and red spot is? I would have guessed a rock but its not hard and green so Im not sure.
