  1. Time for the old spring cleaning. My loss is your gain. Most of these baits have barely seen the water, if at all. Most the hardbaits have upgraded treble hooks too. Payment via Paypal goods and services. Lot 1 is the crankbait lot. 26 baits from Lucky Craft, Strike King, Spro, Bandit, Rapala. SOLD! Lot 2 is the topwater lot. 20 baits from Teckel, Heddon, Spro, Berkley, Yozuri. SOLD! Lot 3 is the jerkbait lot. 7 baits from Lucky Craft, Spro, Rapala. $40 shipped Lot 4 is the jig lot. Mix of flipping, football, swim and blades jigs. 33 jigs in the first pic + 6 living rubber w/ hair. SOLD!
  2. Based on my experience, I think the Avid Inshore lineup would do well for this purpose. I noticed a definite increase in crispness stepping up from Tidemaster to Avid, and I really enjoy throwing Twitchin’ Mullets on mine.
  3. I think any of the spinning reels in that price range from the known reel makers will handle braid just fine. @GregN where in Central NJ? I grew up in Manalapan.
  4. Have you checked the offerings by St Croix or Bulls Bay?
  5. Go to to Jimbo on Lanier’s website. He makes detailed reports that he sells.
  6. It’s so stinking annoying when the half full bottle you left is empty next time you pick it up…isn’t it?
  7. Hard to answer because line diameters are all over the place. I’d just say that when you combine the factors of thicker line, “average” size bass reel and heavy baits that one would generally try to cast far, you’re pushing it.
  8. At the 20lb line size, I think you’re getting close to the point where that reel may not hold enough line.
  9. I fished with Bucca a few times years back, but I think he focuses on his swimbait biz now. Not to mention Allatoona is known as the “Dead Sea” for a reason. The answer to your question is Jimbo on Lanier. Period. Fished with him a dozen-ish times now.
  10. Agree, I think there’s enough info out there to find cheaper batteries that’ll do the job just fine.
  11. Or grab one of the cheaper batts on Amazon… I admit I’m new to the lithium world but I have a hard time spending more money on the “name brands”
  12. Weightless plastics, finesse jigs, weighted keitechs, light spinnerbaits/buzzbaits…
  13. anyone have an Aftco Reaper? Got my first one on the way, curious what the feedback is.
  14. 6000 on the Tsunami, and 4500 or 5500 on the Penn
  15. You’re not gonna get a fully sealed reel for $200 but the closest are probably the Penn Spinfisher and the Tsunami SaltX
  16. ...a monster bull red caught on artificial lures on light tackle! I managed to get this beast to submit using a ML St Croix Avid Inshore paired with a Stradic 3000 w/ 15 lb braid and a 12 lb fluoro leader. It ate a Z-man shrimp. The measuring tape on the rod goes 30 inches, so this dude was 37-38 inches all day long. Am I doing this right @bulldog1935? Hehe... The same lagoon gave up an 18-in trout and a 21-in flounder the day before. I sure as heck would not have minded a ~76-in Lowcountry Inshore Grand Slam!
  17. Yeah, I think Zman is your best bet here due to the buoyancy of the material. You should be able to find a weighted chinlockz to match the bait you select.
