  1. Hi guys, quick question. What reasons would one fish a poison tail swim jig over a standard fish or bullethead? thanks, Marion
  2. Are 6th Sense Lures still made in Texas?
  3. Well, I went to the Fishing Expo in Doswell. Picked up two packs of 5/0 Raynaldo Enterprises hooks obstencillay for tubes. In hindsight I didn’t need the hooks. And I’m trying to concentrate on all Made In The USA tackle...so this was like a Bait Monkey mugging. ?
  4. My current tackle carrier is a BPS Freestyle. I have three boxes in it. First is my Plano Terminal Tackle Box. Second is my Plano Double Decker for my baitcasters, and last is a thin Plano box for my spinning gear lures. I usually keep senkos in each box so I can fish them finesse or with a bullet weight and 5/0 hook.
  5. I’d have to call my home lake Courthouse Park.
  6. The Dick’s next to Walmart has a decent setup. At least the last time I was there. ?
  7. Gotcha. Thanks Glenn.
  8. I hope I don't get banned for posting this, but if I do, it was a fun ride. I made an inquiry about a particular bait company the other day. Just couldn't find the website. The response I got was confusing. My post was deleted and I was directed to some FAQ page about why posts get deleted. I'm not asking why it got deleted, I just wonder how that was an answer to what happened to blah blah bait co. If mentioning them by name was a bad thing, I wasn't aware. I don't live here, I just try to enjoy it when I am here. Thanks, Marion
  9. Is the area still ok to fish two years later?
  10. Thank you sir.
  11. Thanks Cadman...I appreciate it. Ill view and respond asap.
  12. I hope it's ok to piggy back on this post....but I'm doing jigs at home too and had a question. At what point in the creation of a swim jig do the 3d eyes go on? And are there any precautions to take with the eye sockets as there are with the rearguard hole? Also interested in the Teflon pegs...lately I use cut up Q-tips. Thanks for any advice.
  13. Looks like I was wrong...it is skirts unlimited. Didn't realise they were same company. Thanks y'all.
  14. I tried posting the sheet back on here but my kindle won't for some reason. I've checked the numbers against fishingskirts.com and they don't match. I'll dbl check...maybe I only checked skirts unlimited. Thanks.
  15. Hey all...a while back a gentleman was kind enough to post an Excel spreadsheet on his color combinations for jig patterns. I have the sheet, but I forgot the manufacturing company that makes the material that his color numbers correspond with. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.
  16. Thanks guys.
  17. My oldest and favorite frog's skirt is a dried out rotten mess after a few years of slaying bass. I don't want to toss it out but really not sure.how to fix. Thought about cutting off and using the tips of a couple finesse worms, but holes are very small. Can anyone advise me?
  18. Thanks Wayne. I read some of your other posts elsewhere and found them very informative. Come to find I was looking at the wrong item at Lowe's.
  19. Isn't the shrink tubing a little expensive? And is that the same stuff I hear people making keeper barbs for straight shank flipping hooks?
  20. I look at hollow and solid frogs as completely different bait applications. I use hollow bodies most though. I prefer Spro Bronzeye Poppers. When I want a buzzbait style presentation along banks or through weeds I use Rage Toads. Ones a reaction bite, the others a feeding bite. imo of course.
  21. Ive been using mostly oval shaped split rings. Keeps the line from sliding into the split.
  22. I still use the 7.5s in red shad and tequila shad.
  23. Ohhhh...I see.
  24. Hi all. I was Suthernprog on this site, but had some kind of glitch thing that kept me from looging in saying my username/password was wrong. So, had to create a new one. Anyway, in those pics of the pontoon boats like the one in the Cabela's ad, do your legs just hang in the water? Sounds dumb, but wondering what kind, if any, kind of leg/feet gear to use one. Thanks.
