  1. Forgot to say thanks,so thanks!
  2. I did not read every post,,so I'm wondering who contributed the great art work? Also have to add, I learned something here.
  3. Flyrod, but have a soft spot for conventional and one exception a old slightly modified Garcia Thunderstick with it's companion Cardinal#4. it is one tough old stick.
  4. Thanks to the guys who recognized me with "welcomes".
  5. Semper Fidelis and welcome aboard DDG. Glad we got you back. I just landed here yestyday myself. All ready got some thankyous to extend. Did you go through west coast or the Island. I can see you knew right away you was in the right place ,,right where all the oracles of knowledge reside haha. Well God bless the Corps and good night Chesty where ever you are.
  6. Grey GhostThis reminds me of the time I ran into a Biologist from Rutgers on the Van Camps Brook in Worthington State forest, sneaking up on the pool crawling along" there she was " standing like a pole, holding one of those dish receivers and glaring at me and me ticked and confused, wondering about the whole weird thing ,she looks at me and asks if I come here often, [how bizarre] So ok, I'm in this..I answer, "yes"! She then muttered something like "maybe I shouldn't say any more, but then says "come follow me over here back where I had just crawled on the path. Looking at me weirdly she points down and says,"do you see the snake"? And there by jimmy was a big Timber Rattler, bright colored just molted , and that boys cured me forever of crawling up on pools.
  7. Hello to the fraternity. Easy to see this is an interesting port. Im here by way of N.J., PA., OK., TX., Been longing to get back to regular fishing schedule I maintained in PA.and N.J. Since retirement I've had scarce time. I bought a kayak last yr. and managed a few trips to Yatesville Lake [2] Last June [2012. While there I learned what a big smallie is from both ends of the line. I'm hoping to meet some guys who fish this way and also wade for smallies or whatever in the East Kentucky/WVa. area or anywhere for that matter. Trout, Pike,Musky is also acceptable.
  8. Hello,I'm a new arrival in Ashland and I'm open for learning the area rivers creeks lakes ponds, wherever fish with flyrod is possible. I've been out on Yatesville 2 times since last yr. Got my butt kicked last June from a very large smallie on that lake and so got the bug,the fever, ants in the pants,,,you understand. I was checking out a post from a guy who fished the Big Sandy trib on 4th of July past who posted a pic of a nice smallie he caught over there, but after my registration I couldn't find him... so anyone have time? thanks.
