I ran a inline fuse to the battery for the console unit yes! The front is wired to a acc switch

Ya I was thinking that was it but all my wires to my console unit are good I didn't go through the front yet because I travel for work and had to leave but everything from the console back is good tight and no frays. I just wanted to get a plan of attack for what I need to do when I get back home and was wanting to bounce ideas of people. Have you ever had an issue like this?

Has anyone had any problems with there humminbird units randomly shutting off? My 999 that's at the console would do it riding down the lake so I thought it was just from rough water because it would happen in those situations but now it never wants to actually stay on and now my helix that's mounted up front is doing the same exact thing and I'm not sure if it's a issue with my boat or the electronics...idk if it matters or not but the boat is a 2003 ranger 185svs just so you guys know. And my helix literally just started doing it this weekend but before it was only the 999

oh okay thats what im trying to figure out to help make my decision is just what all is out there for a good price/good quality product because i know sometimes things say they do this and that but at times it doesnt make a difference in the end so thanks!

See and thats what ive also read on a lot of different forums is that a couple people have actually gone to only one instead of two because they can use that to there advantage in some points of fishing but i for sure just want to start with 1 and then if i feel necessary get another one later down the road and i like that power pole when deployed moves out of the way for whoever fishes in the back because a lot of the time i have someone back there but even with only one i feel like to control the boat it will still be a million times easier with one than having none lol and i cant justify dropping coin on two at the same time haha

I was wanting some insight on what the best bang for the buck is with a 3 bank charger? Ive looked at the minn kota ones a little bit in stores and saw a 400 dollar one that is suppose to be a better charge for the batteries and make battery life last longer but is there any truth to this? Never had to buy a 3 bank charger or anything but really tired of my 2 bank charger so any help would be much appreciated! thanks!

Ya and that was my thoughts also about the 10s is why not just get the 10s but I also didn't know about performance and if they are to big for a 18.5 ft boat but 1 mph or so I can def deal with because I have never heard a bad thing about them or talons I've always read it's better to have one than none so I might just start with one. Not really sure yet though but thanks! How do you like the talons? And have you ever used power poles?

yo been a while since ive posted on here but I have now purchased my first bass boat as of about a year ago and the more time goes on i want some power poles.......a lot of you will be like ya duh dont we all lol! But my main concern is what size to get either the 8 or 10 ft? i have a ranger 185svs with a yamaha 150. i do a lot of flipping and most time im looking 6-8 feet of water but sometimes i do end up in more just kind of depends on the lake. i dont wanna have 10ft poles and realize they are to big for a 18.5 ft boat and everything ive read on here ive only seen the battle between power poles and talons or people saying it depends on the water level you fish the most. Another concern also is does it effect the boat ride/performance at all? Thanks for the time and i hope to get some good advice!

Hi, im making a trip down to Tampa, FL here in like 2 weeks to visit my sister and was wondering if anyone knew of any good lakes and guides around the area? I know there is Lake Toho which i think is around an hour and a half away and i was considering okeechobee but its a 3 hour drive and im not willing to go that far even though it would be amazing! Im just looking for a little more help than what i have found on google because last time i found a guide through this forum i had a really good time and it was seriously awesome so hoping i can make that happen again... Please let me know and i really appreciate your time and help!! Thank you!

ya we ended up getting down there late and it was packed we stayed in the warm arm and didnt do to bad caught some on beds and what not def would go back for sure!! water was pretty stained up to

Whats up everyone! i travel a lot for work and I am currently staying in Chesterfield, SC. I am kind of looking for a guide service on a lake pretty close to here (lake wylie or something like that i honestly dont know many other lakes besides hartwell and ive been on google looking for something and cant find very much) or maybe even just someone who would take me out on the lake for a day on the weekend or something along those lines!! I was wondering if anyone has been out to Newton Lake in Illinois yet this year?!?! If so how have they been bitting? and also was wondering if anyone could help me with where some good spots were to fish down there! Im looking to head down Wednesday and do some fishing and ive never been before so any help would be much appreciated! Im not asking for honey holes anything like that but if you could message me some hints on baits and spots that would be really awesome and very much appreciated!! Pumped the weather is finally breaking here for us!

in my jon like i said i just use an adhesive mount to the trolley motor and then you could screw a mount down to the metal on front part of the boat to get that angle!! if your willing to do that if not look up some google images of setups they have a ton just type in go pro fishing mounts and explore your options lol
