  3. anybody plan on fishing Friday night? I fished last friday night for the first time in over twenty years but didnt do well. Hope to get to go this Friday night and see if I can do better. It sure is cooler out there at midnight than it is at noon. LOL
  4. I agree with Bass_Fanatic i use them regularly this time of year. DamnYankee taught me this lure last year and now I love it. They will catch giant Bass.
  5. Congrats Shaneus! This next week will be a game changer. full moon on the 16th. IT'S GONNA GET CRAZY!!!
  6. Well Bass_Fanatic Smoked me in our club tournament Sat. What a HAWG! Pictures do this fish no justice but I did get second for big bass with a 9.2 Toad that I caught on a trap in 5 ft of water close to deep water. I finished 3rd over all with 18.9 lbs. I started out at Carrice creek where I caught her as my first fish. After the fog lifted I ran to Lowe creek and fished the wind blown points and north bank with a Watermelon Red fluke.caught 4 buck bass to finish out my 5 fish. Not a big bag but i was happy to have five fish. My brother fished with me and only caught one 6 pounder all day fishing a trap and jerk bait. funny how two people can fish the same water and be so far apart. He kept claiming that I was nosing in on the fish but I asured him that wasn't the case it was the best tallent that overcame. LOl Had a great time. Congrats on the win Bass_Fanatic.
  7. Anyone heard from Damyankee?
  8. Look me up guys i'll be in a red and white ZX21 Skeeter with 250SHO. I will more than likely have my brother with me so if you see two fat boys in a red and white skeeter stop and say hi.
  9. No cheating Bass_Fanatic! LOL Not like you would need to. I will be out there early Sat. too thinking about Jesse Lowe, Carice creek and indian mound area has anyone been up there? thought the fish might be around the Rip RAp on the bridges with the cooler weather. If they are in Yokum they should be in Lowe I would think.? Never fished there so I don't know what they look like on the water but it's a start. I did go to six mile Sunday but not to the bridge and did not catch anything. I threw a Trap, jerk bait and an A Rig.
  10. I will let you know what i find Bass_Fanatic.
  11. Thanks guys. I will be in my red/white skeeter. Ill be looking for you shaneus. i guess i will launch at the state park or at Pendelton bridge. not sure yet.
  12. Good job Shaneus. I am going in the morning to prefish for a March 1 tourney at pendelton bridge any ideas where to start south or mid lake? Does anyone have any recomendations? i know the water has to be warmer the dirtier it is. I am hearing good reports from mid lake down. Thanks for the reports I am just looking for a starting point and trying to put a plan together.
  13. fishing is still tough right now we had a tourney on red river at Grand ecor Saturday and out of 34 fisherman only nine weighed in fish. only two had 5 fish but one guy had 5 fish for 19+ pounds with a 6+ pound big bass. not sure of exact weight because i was one of the 25 that zeroed and wasn't just standing up close to the weigh in.LOL water is warming up and i hope to be on the Bend this week prefishing for a club tourney there March 1. should be better water temp by then. figure i will try the Lanana Bridge area and maybe 1215 to see if we have any movement. keep the reports coming i know it will be on soon.
  14. How deep were you fishing Shaneus?
  15. No dought Bass_Fanatic it has been tough. With a rise now in the river and all of this cold water it will be slow I have only found a couple of places that have any structure in it. I have never fished the red but from what i have seen i don't like it. I have fished Jetties, stumps, points and banks with very little success.
  16. I have been on the Red River for past couple of week ends and the only thing i have caught fish on has been a jig and craw and a sweet beaver grinding in the cover. SLOOOOOWWW all day. water 47 degrees. cant wait to get back on the Bend.
  17. I am in there jamey912. looking forward to helping out.
  18. Sure is Catt. I've been busy at red river prefishing for a club touney. We will be on the bend on March 1 so yaw keep the updates coming.
  19. Thanks that is cold.
  20. What was the water temp Shaneus? I hope my boat will be in this week and I can be back on the water this coming weekend.
  21. HenryLewis Catt always teaches 15+or- 3. It has Proven out for me and it is what we are hearing now. Moe1967 I am just starting to fish the Indian Creek, Mill Creek and Buck creek areas so I cant help you yet but there is plenty of grass and points that run into the creek channels that should hold bass now. I will keep posting what I find in that area.
  22. I saw a picture of a ULM Collage guy that caught four bass on New Years day between 6 and 8 pounds in the Twin Island area fishing with the A-rig and Lipless Crank Baits in 15-18 feet of water grass. The friend that had the picture told me he was headed up today to fish. I have not heard what he is catching but I would like to know what these tournaments way in in the next few weeks.
  23. Thanks for the info guys. Boat is in the shop getting some carpet warrenty work done but I am looking forward to the new year on the Bend. Catt any idea of a date we will have the get together tourney in Feb?
