  1. Oh Im definately getting a type r when they hit the shelf cause I can only imagine how nice it is going to be.
  2. Thanks Francho...wow they only make 4 different reels
  3. Its wierd. I cant even find a mitchell website now. I know they still make reels cause I seen one at academy a couple days ago
  4. For that matter I could almost buy 2 tatulas for the same price and I am very confident in the tatulas now after using it about 6 times now
  5. Cddan..that is the youtube video I was talking about..very informative..im with you on the quantums..I have had bad experiences too but after holding the exo at academy a few days ago..it is soooo light but yet feels durable. I want to try one out but im a little scare of wasting almost $300 when I could just buy another lews or tatula
  6. Im thinkin about tryin a quantum exo next..may as well try them all...lol
  7. Looks cheap..lol
  8. Never had a copperhead
  9. My pb was on a chartreuse spinnerbait..lol..I still have it in my head every time I cast that spinner that im gonna land a hog..lol..its funny how easy it is to get supersticious when fishing
  10. They may not even compare to the standards of reel today but I just remember it being the greatest thing since Red Diamond Iced tea when I was a teenager. Saved alot 9f lunch money to get it only to have my best friend accidently knock it out of our john boat in a really large pond..not sure how many hours I spent trying to fish it out..lol
  11. I seen a Mitchell spincast today and it made me think about it
  12. What ever happened to the spidercast reels..I had one when I was younger and from what I remember they were a decent reel
  13. There is a 29 minute video on you tube that explains the magforce z breaking..pretty interesting if u have time to watch it
  14. I do like the magforce z brake on the tatula..it works great in high wind
  15. The BB1's cast really well..just not sure about the plastic rod that holds the palm cover..on the other hand the tatula palm cover is a little harder to access but really there is no reason to access the palm on the tatula cause its not centrifugal
  16. I want to try a smoke reel but I havent had much luck with quantum reels
  17. I change reels several times a day while fishing too..its not that im tired but u can notice a difference when u move from a rod and reel that weighs a few ounces lighter
  18. Well so far the levelwind has worked flawlessly but only time will tell for how long. Im confident it will last though, it is very crisp when it flips back over. I was using 15lb P-line flouro on a 7' quantum smoke MH rod. Threw a 1/2 oz spinnerbait, 3/8 crankbait, 3/4 swimbait...I tried several lures and it really casted everything about the same distance..which by the way, it casts a effin mile..I didnt try any 1/4 oz lures. It feels more powerful than my Lews TP when burning in a crank bait or spinnerbait. As for fish, only caught a few but I didnt get to get on the lake till 11 so I feel I did ok..biggest one was around 2 1/2 lbs
  19. Well after a long day on the lake ive gotta say im lovin the tatula more and more each time I cast it. I have mostly Lews reels and I found myself going for the tatula and just changing lures on it instead of picking up another rod with the same lure on it..lol..the only thing I like more about my lews tournament pros are the weight difference..they feel significantly lighter
  20. Its hard to beat a good day of fishing with a spinnerbait imo
  21. Once again thanks for all of the warm welcomes. I have been buried in the forums this week..lol..really like this site.
