  7. Went with my son(joe), down to alligator alley today and fished mm 35 north side from 9.30 to 5.00, never been down there to fish before, had a slow start, so i started using everything i could to find something they wanted, my 1st bite was on a silver rattle trap, then a kvd crankbait 1.0, then nothing, started throwing worms etc, into the grass started getting fish, a watermelon senco did the trick for us, we didn't get as many as i hoped for only 13, most were small but a few around 13" and 2 at 15", we lost about 12 in the weeds, the most excitement came when joe hooked his 1st snakehead(look like one) about 15", put up great fight, when we got it to the side of the boat, i thought what do i do with this??, so when i went to get the jaw grip, it got off. overall a pretty good day, but next time i will bring my gas boat motor, my trolling motor was not enough to get very far up the canal. thanks to BassinLou. who help me plan this out.
