  1. I knew most weren't manufactured here, i just trust them because they stand behind them and more or less guarantee the Abec rating. I would rather spend money knowing what it is being spent on. Good right up though.
  2. Thanks bud, appreciate the heads up.
  3. Hey all, I did a search and found some generic topics on upgrading bearings but nothing about the different brands and if there is a difference from brand to brand differences or comparisons. I was thinking about putting some Hedgehog BFS Air bearings in one of my Zonda reels for lightweight applications but was told that the hawgtech bearings are really great too. So it got me wondering what is the best option and if there is really a difference in the name brand/ well known manufactures that stand behind their Abec ratings. So for those of you who have upgraded and experimented with different brands of bearings chime in. What did you prefer?
  4. sweet thanks guys.
  5. I am looking for baits that for more of a roll than a tight wiggle. I have a few Arashi crank baits now and they do good for a tighter wiggle but does anyone know if the action of the Spro series has a "roll" type of presentation?
  6. yep, lots of great wake baits out there, The Shellcracker G2 that Bass_Fanatic mentioned is another great bait.
  7. I use morning wood rats, spro rats, slammes etc. (lots of wakers 5 to 9 inches) and catch fish in Mid Missouri on them all the time. Dont hesitate.
  8. To each his own, that's why it's a forum. But I take most of tackle tours tests with a grain of salt because like we are doing here they are giving their opinion.
  9. Easy to adjust speed depending on your crank, some true st Hugh speeds some lay over. AM knows every baits he uses like the back of his hand, I'm sure he likes the high speed because he knows the lure and can adjust the speed of retrieve easily based on each lure with a high speed reel.
  10. I'd stick with RW on this, or find a mono for those trebles, gunna want some give to keep those fish buttoned up.
  11. Palomar and SD jam is what I use one everything. Make sure the line is lubed and you are properly tying that palomar. Don't cross the line when tying keep everything side by side. If you don't it gives the line somewhere to dig into itself causing a weak point.
  12. Did a search and dint find anything. Was thinking of getting some but wanted input from people who use it. What's it like? I plan to use the 6lb with finesse jigs 1/8 or less on one of my Zondas. Anyone?
  13. Does anyone know why one chip is 179.00and the other 199.00, the specs seem the same to me? Anyone using garmin I would appreciate some insight.
  14. I always used 100mph until last year when huk introduced their line up. I fished all season in the huk gear and it is fantastic. Not a drop of water got inside. The only downfall for me is the fact that I'm 6'7" and have longarms, they fit everywhere but I could use another half inch in the arms. For most this won't be a problem and really wasn't a problem I just would have liked them a tad longer there. They break the wind great and hold heat very well. The 100mph is a tad thicker and would be warmer in freezing temps, but they do good, but the stitching is crap. The huk gear is built well and has no stitching issues yet. I'd go Huk they are lightweight, warm , well built and keep you dry. That's my .02
  15. Twain is full of ditches and creek channels around the standing timber too, I have lots of limits on black and gold flek brush hogs t rigged with a half ounce tungsten pegged in thesearch subtle bottoman changes. Better late than never.
