Wine, beer, food, and now bass fishing! I'm not new to fishing itself but new to catching bass! I'm originally from Hawaii so I fished all the time but nothing like this! Just like wine, bass fishing will be an everyday learning experience! And with every new day and bass caught, it just keeps getting better!!

1. I've been in the wine industry for 12 years now so if you want an extra hand to help pour and serve you can count on me!
2. I'm planning on the 2014 road trip! But if anything I like fishing from the bank. Boats can get me to where the fish are but there is something about fishing from the bank that I really enjoy! A lot of guides I researched charge an arm an a leg! Fishing from the bank would be much more cost effective!
3. Hey! It's going to be my first time too! I'm so down to be a roomie! If it means saving money so I can get brand new gear for this trip then I'm totally down! Let me know!
4. I'm in! I'm more likely to be traveling there myself so if anyone wants a roomie I'm soon down! This is exactly what I've been looking for! I'm going to need more info about how to get there from las Vegas! I will do some research on my part but any help would be great as far as airports and buses to the site!!
5. Hey! So I was wondering if anyone knows of a few hotels, motels, bed and breakfast, etc. that I could stay in that's walking distance to a lake that has great bass fishing? Keeping in mind, that I would only want to pay for the following if possible: airfare, lodging, food, transportation to and from airport, and the necessary license and permits to fish the local areas. I don't want to spend a bunch. But I also don't want to sleep with roaches and rats. I want to plan at least 2 trips next year during the spring and fall season. I'm thinking about a 5-9 days at the most would be affordable. If anyone knows of a great deal on motels or hotels that's walking distance to a lake it would be very helpful! I would prefer to stay around California or even Texas but will go further if the deal is right! I live in Las Vegas so all I have is lake mead and it's ok...
6. Hey guys! Wanted to know if anyone here knows of a bass club in Vegas that I should look up? I'm a non-boater and I usually get around on the bus to fish. I know... 33 year old man not having a car is a bit lame but I think of it as traveling green! I still get to work and what not but really thinking about getting my **** together now so I can drive to the lake! I looked up one club online and emailed one of the contacts but never got a response back. The hold meetings every first Wednesday of the month here at bass pro in my town but wanted to get in contact with someone first just to get a bit more info. The club name is LVBass club so if anyone on here knows or is in this club hit me up! Also, if your a cool dude or gal just wanting to meet and probably teach a down to earth guy some techniques for bass fishing let me know... Again, I'm a non-boater, I don't have my own vehicle, but always down to fish!! Doesn't hurt asking! Lol
7. Thanks guys! Verdict: I found that it was a better idea tying my jig and trailer direct. The presentation looked better. And I had this feeling it was going to snap off during my cast. Then again I went light (8lb. Fluoro, 1/4 ounce strike king swim gig, berkley 4"pit boss,) was practicing my techniques! Yea, it looked better without the snap and felt better. I find the snap swivel come in handy when I use spinner baits! Thanks again guys for all the info! Didn't catch my PB but was able to brush up on my techniques! Next technique I'll be practicing is the art of Texas rigging!!
8. Hey guys! New to bass fishing but not to fishing itself.. I was wondering if it is a good idea to put a jig (football, swim, finesse,) on a snap swivel? I don't own a boat so I fish from shore. I like moving around and trying different colors, sizes, trailers, etc. as I move around. Will putting a jig on a snap swivel affect it? Or would it be a better idea to tie on straight?
9. Hey guys! Did a lot of research before joining this site and this was the best site out there! I'm very new to bass fishing but fished a lot back in Hawaii. I've only been bass fishing for about a month now and got hooked! I finally caught my first ever large mouth last weekend and was stoked! I've been doing a lot of research, watching YouTube videos, and now I have this forum to rely on to catch more bass! The only problem right now that I have is that I live in Las Vegas and it gets super hot here. The only places I'm able to fish right now are the urban ponds and private man made lakes with lake front property. The urban ponds are not that big but they do have large mouth bass,(have yet to see one or catch one,) but it's a species that isn't normally stocked. I've caught my first bass at the lake front property where it's much bigger and has less people. The urban ponds tend to have a lot of traffic and kids feeding the ducks and fish with who knows what! Sunset park pond is where I'll be doing most of my practicing whether its a specific technique or just perfecting my casting. Anyone out there from Las Vegas or anyone in particular have any tips for me?
