  1. Im with Glenn on this one. That plane is down somewhere, in pieces. Three quarters of our planet is water and that plane, as big as it was, is just a drop in a big, big bucket. All the talking heads on TV do is contradict one another because all of the information they are getting is from sources who are as clueless as anyone else.
  2. Make no mistake, my friends, the fishing tackle industry can read us like a book and they are only getting better at it every year. By the time we wise up , they have already got their money.
  3. Gotta be vers-a-tile! When I discovered spinnerbaits I thought I'd hit the bass jackpot. I found out real quick that just throwing SB's all day doesn't always work. Its to easy to get in a rut with lures. In the last few years I have been trying different things and have been very pleased with the results. Just remember, fishing is fun but catching fish is even more fun.
  4. My biggest problem is size. I wear 15's and in most catalogs and even stores, after 14, good luck. I did manage to find and order a couple of pairs of Reebok DMX MAX in 15's and they are very comfortable & light so maybe now my problem is solved.
  5. I dont seem to have much trouble with other fishermen, it's mostly people on PWC's that get between me and the shoreline Im working. If you yell at them, they always give you that stupid,''Whats your problem?'' look.
  6. It gets windy a lot on my lake once the sun gets up there. At least I have a few good size islands I can get behind, otherwise, I just let the wind blow me down the lake while I fan cast.
  7. Line twist could be a factor. I throw a lot of plastic stick baits on mine.
  8. Do not stop now, the economy depends on guys like you!
  9. My primary colors are gray for sun and yellow for overcast. Works for me.
  10. I can scarcely believe all of the tackle that I used to haul around that never got wet. I must have looked like a walking BPS outlet store. One winter I really tore into it all. Now everything that I use fits into a Plano 9606 and a Pflueger soft side tote with room for seven 3700 boxes and pockets for smaller stuff. Now all of the tackle I carry, I have confidence in.
  11. It's only a problem when Im awake.
  12. I was night fishing with a friend when he had a huge smallie inhale his spinner bait. It was so far down it's throat , you could'nt see what you were doing. We took turns working on it , puting it back in the water for awhile then working on it some more but the big guy was going downhill fast. We finally got the lure out and held him upright in the water for a time trying to revive him but ,unfortunatly, the damage was done.
  13. They say winter makes one appreciate summer. I say winter only makes me dislike winter that much more.
  14. The guy she was dating, that I worked with, introduced us.
  15. Love those handles, just wish they did not cost $80. a pop.
  16. The wind knots that I get do not form around the guides. It's more like a miniature bird nest that shoots right through the guides. I can even hear it when it happens.
  17. What causes wind knots on a spinning set up? Overloaded spool? Casting to hard? Gets frustrating at times.
  18. If I spend $15. for a bait, I feel like the ''fish'' has already been caught.
  19. Yea, that would be a great name for another Tatula model, the Tatula Orgasmic! They would fly off the shelves! Marketing genius I tells ya!
  20. Berkley XL , XT & Big Game. Never had any problems with it through the years. If it's loaded right, you should not have problems with line twist or wind knots.
  21. The reels I would be refering to are older Quantum E600 Ti's. The owners manuals never say anything about the drag washers one way or the other.
  22. Your right, slonezp, I remember when MG was poking fun at MK because of their ''plastic'' shafts and now look.
  23. Ive seen hitches with built in shock absorbers, BPS used to carry them, Don't know if that would solve your problem. I have a 94 Bass Tracker TV-17 and I notice it on mine and it's the hitch pin hole.
  24. Ive been using Sears Die Hard Deep Cycle batteries for years. The group size 27 costs around $100. The only downside is it's a ''wet'' battery and you will have to check the fluid level from time to time. Run time will depend on things like the size of your boat and battery, wind and current and how good your charger is.
