  1. Mjm and Born to Fish, thank you! That what OI was looking for.
  2. Need some advice. I have a Ranger 2004 Comanche 521VX. Last season I bought a Humminbird Helix 10 MSI GPS G3N and had the transducer installed on my rear transom. But I want to install a transducer on the bow, either on my Ultrex with a mount or on the hull? Amy suggestions as to: 1. what kind of transducer I should buy? 2. Should I install it on my Ultrex (110v. 36" ipilot) on a transducer bracket I appreciate any experienced suggestions. Thanks.

  4. A-Jay, Thanks. My instinct is that less is better. Keep it simple, don't overthink or overwork it. Rapala crankbaits, for instance, are designed extremely well and tested, so why try to do "it better" than the designers did it. Each time you add some tool or new gadget to fish with, you take time away from actual fishing and using what you have, especially if you have arsenal of cranks from deep diving to top waters and all in between. I appreciate your response. It validates my instinct. John
  5. I use all kinds of crankbaits, but began using jerkbaits more in the Fall and discovered how much I liked them. They were the suspending jerkbaits of three different colors. Someone told me that using Storm suspen strips/dots enhances your ability to keep your jerkbait or crankbait at the level where your fish finder shows the depth where fish are schooling. Has anyone used the suspen strips or dots? If so, how did they perform? Do you think they increased your strike to cast ratio? Which did you use the strips or the dots? Thanks!
  6. Thanks, everybody. These are great suggestions. I am using several of them!
  7. Is there such a thing as "fishing elbow?" I bass fish 2-3x per week for about 2-3 hours per. I am right handed, so cast with my right arm. Recently, I noticed that the next day my left elbow is very sore. I use a St. Croix 7.1" Legend Tournament bass rod Medium Fast with a Abu Garcia Revo MGX baitcasting reel for flipping, jigging and cranking. I recently purchased a Mojo Bass 7.9" MH rod that I use in weeds, grass and for long casts. I use a Shimano Curado E low-profile baitcasting reel. Is my "fish elbow" related to my rod length and weight? Please need input. Thanks.
