  6. I have seen people come in for a diagnostic as the air would barely come out of the vents , later to find the cabin filter so dirty and full it was actually restricting air flow. Maam did you know you have a yetti in your glove box ?
  7. Surge ... I swear I could drink that stuff and have enough energy to power a small city.
  8. I couldnt help but read the title of this thread and think thank god now maybe some of his threads will relax...... anyways now you can give people a high five instead of a 3 1\2 . Had a similar thing happen checking a water pump and fan clutch . The pump had excessive movement I had my flash light looking at the fan clutch Not to close but obviously close enough the fan blades jumped up grabbed my flash light and throught it back at my head . It missed my head by an inches ...... still makes me nervous checking out cars. My light flashing and flipping could have been a disco party...
  9. At my shop $ 15 - 24 is the average . But unless you have a volkswagen beetle ( devil beast ) meaning 30 - 45 min labor, I will not charge . Now i have i have seen the dealer and other shops charge $$$
  10. I scour the soft plastic bin , I will routinely find yum craw papi for $ 1.50 normally $ 5-6 , have found other items misprinted in yum bags that are obviously not yum products for next to nothing . Another interesting thing not all walmarts stock the same stuff .. I have found some higher end stuff at some stores .
  11. I never would have known that .... thanks .
  12. Aggressively , I like using a floating flit 120 in a bass color , now it has a chartreuse bill which you can see . If you see your yellow spec traveling west , You have a fish ! Great for light off color water or when you want a fast aggressive darting action with a fast rise . If you are having fish follow or staying close but not committing , slow down to a slower jerkbait .
  13. Nope just strait palomar and the black nickel is really the only color I use as well the only color available when I buy them . The added bend at the neck works well when I do my double loop for the drop shot setup , keeps the hook from tilting or sliding down on the knot .
  14. Depends on water temp , weather patterns etc available visual cover all play a roll . If its a gravel bottom or around riprap jigs , crankbaits , around wooded cover , spinner baits , chatterbaits possibly drop shot . I usually start slow and evaluate the situation and change out as necessary . When you get bit or starting getting bites you then narrow down quickly what they are looking for .
  15. Finesse jig with crawl trailer , dropshot setup again leave as long as possible , also texas rigged lizards . You might even try a slow chatterbait bite , depending on how active the fish are .
  16. 1 /0 mosquito hook as a drop shot setup or just plain wacky for super finesse a zoom finesse worm . This can be deadly as it is small and looks helpless. Also works great on yum dingers for when you are around cover , seems for me at least less snags in open light / moderate wood cover .
  17. I have used these as well with good success , however don't forget about a yum craw papi I get some hard reaction strikes .
  18. If your dog is anything like mine was my wife always had outfits throughout the seasons so have fun with that .
  19. I thought the unspoken rule was the bird was the word ? ( family guy )
  20. This may sound weird but I love the thrill of having to think outside the box for situations . Granted I am in the automotive industry and I get stuck with more than my fare share of problem childs with different cars and get involved to fix cars that have been shop to shop . I routinely search out your looked over places in busy or just plainly looked body of waters , streams , creeks , beaver dams etc . Yesterday I went to a local storm water run off and had really good success in the dead heat of the day . It started slow changing baits , sizes , colors etc to try and get a bite . Then I thought I was getting over heated and shade was getting scarce minus several drainage tubes from a business parks at different ends of the pond . I switched up to a finesse jig and zoom trailer and began skipping the jigs way back into the tube and then one by one began winching out nice fat largies . My questions to you is what is something you do that is different , or you don't see everyday or go somewhere thats overlooked that seems to produce when other more popular bodies of water are slow and dull ?
  21. The best piece of advice I can give you is to get on google maps . Then you can scour the area for little holes in the wall water systems . Some of which can produce some of the biggest fish , and fun . You have access to the river , there are some places to fish but you're going to have do to your home work . I do the same with the etowah river , drive around and Inspect every piece of shore front you can find and get out of the car and walk around take pictures and make marks on a map so I have places to fish . As far as baits I have success with finesse jigs , with craw trailer , texas rig lizards , shakey heads your typical river system forage . Anything that will give a break in the current , stumps , logs , bridge pylons etc . If you can find any slack in the water right before or after current I have also have had some success . Hope this helps btw .
  22. Check the barb on your spinner bait , I have lost a few big gals due to them bending the barb down sometimes you can bend them back other times its time to order a few more . Also are you using a trailer , or strait hook ? I rarely do not use a trailer hook unless its heavy cover .
  23. I would suggest 6.1 - 6.4 , you can use a 5.41 or so on but at the end of the day you might have popeye arms so gear up on some spinach .
  24. I have used a good wake bait in a pinch when they would not quiet commit to a top water . As everyone else stated have a good soft plastic set up right by your side to fire in there for a follow up .
  25. You might want to try and find the article Paul elias did on here about crank baits , if I am not mistaken I believe it was like 4 pages of info .. Good read type material . I visit it myself from time to time for a good refresh .
