Other than that you're chances of that one in a million fish become 50 / 50 vs significantly higher odds with a trailer hook . Filters and fluids are 2 things to always keep an eye on . Routine air filter changes keep a lot of debris off the throttle body and mass airflow sensors . On 5.3 gm engines they are known for throttle position sensors failures which unfortunately are made to the throttle body that can be killed over time from gunk at the throttle plate and debris , they can be $700 and up parts & labor ...... so check those filters .

Dont over look the dt4 ... I have been able to go back behind others and wipe up what they left behind .

Walk SOFTLY ..... go to your spot when done fan casting turn around walk back away from the pond a good 30 ft away then walk around then walk back into the next spot . I have seen when you walk the bank , they feel the vibration and as always if you can see them they can see you and they will spook , good luck after that .
