  1. Look on Facebook different bait sites for good used baits . Bought a lucky craft pointer 78 that had some wear . Changed the hooks and split rings and proceeded to clean house . Every now and then you can find new baits on clearance or heavily discounted at box stores.
  2. Fish for alot of spotted bass . Generally try to find hard bottoms and or rock specifically. Love the fight but depending on where you live when we get the first cold snap ( georgia ) they turn on and get active . Shakey heads , ned rigs, small jigs ( keitech ) always seem to produce. But winter time is a real chance to find some big fish . Check out Carters lake have some magnum spotted bass .
  3. Good saltwater shop locally half hitch , good selection of stuff . But plenty of places to catch bass as well , pier park has 3 to 4 good size ponds to fish around in . Caught one well over 5 lbs a few years back .
  4. Dobyns 703c but if you want more hook setting power 763c , fury line up great rods for the price imo .
  5. I use the champion line up . As far as pitching and skipping two different rods for me personally . But my ideal skipping rod dobyns champion 684 heavy fast action perfect for quick acurate skips with the ability to pull the big girls out . Yes you can flip as well but usually use a longer rod for flipping . But the 684 is a very versatile rod . You can skip with just about anything however being acurate is another thing . Much more acurate with a shorter rod but im also 5 ft 6 . Andy morgan uses a 7 ft but he is also over 6ft tall. But like anything use what works for you .
  6. The damiki anchovy shad looks pretty close to that tail.
  7. Just get the world fishing network channel on your cable provider for $10 or under you can watch it , record it and about 20 other fishing shows with it . Best money I ever spent .
  8. By far the answer is no , I own 10 of them . But when researching something everyone has opinions . But I like to read as much information as I can before I buy . Check out www.tackletour.com they review and rate tackle and equipment . Some of the dobyn's line ups stay well rated . Granted other options are testing better and worse but it all has different factors . I tend to use that site and tackle wear house and here a bit for information on performance guides on stuff .
  9. I am pretty sure its whole family can be found in a waffle house at about 3am . Just saying some scary people or things in there ....
  10. Roughly $ 200 to $300 per month when I am not buying rods and reels . Fishing is my only hobby so I don't think its to bad I guess .
  11. I think tacklejunky did a review on those and had the deep box for crankbaits . Had a rediculous amount of them in there.
  12. Yeah your right dunno was thinkng it was rated for more weight . My goal is to have a swim bait rod for under 2oz.
  13. I have been tossing the idea of swimbaits for a while . Started with swim jigs and chatterbaits and using small swim bait trailers with pretty good success. Next started with some small keitech swimbaits and my catches jumped up considerably . Tried my first shake on a hard swim bait . Have read reviews and made the jump . As far as the bait goes I went with the slow sink as I wanted the bait to sit higher up in the water column . The slow sink can be crawled slow or worked with pops and jerks like a jerkbait. I also like that you can burn it and just stop and it will slowly flutter down . I will say that if burn it it will turn into a wake bait .I can Certainly see the fast sink for keeping it down as the slow sink unless slow reeled will rise. The slow sink is 7/8 oz but The fast sink is 1 oz. Great now I'm looking at a dobyns 735c and a tatula hd reel. Looks like possibly an older female with the bug eyes.
  14. I work in the auto repair industry so thank goodness for the warranty. Some of the new jeeps have some issues but overall new car problems are all the norm. All vehicles have them some more than others . But having to drive a long way away after all ready being delayed with your other car problems will test your sanity . Take it with stride you have a loaner to drag race with.
  15. Have had a lot of luck with spots in morning dawn and sexy shad in the roboworm line up .
