  1. Yup. Bladed Jigs have pretty much reolaced spinnerbaits for me.
  2. Rattlesnakes are plentiful in San Bernadino I would also bring one of those snakebite kits you could get from the outdoor departments at a sporting goods store.
  3. I see that you have a lot of the LTB's. I see another rod on your deck that looks to be a LTB with a non cork black grip? Is it an older model that did not have cork or is it a custom with a LTB blank?
  4. I would love to see Dobyns put something in that $400+ range the DX IMO already performs better that some of those rods in that price range and I would love to what else they can offer. I wonder if St. Croix has something planned it seems like on TW and a few other places are not restocking some models which makes me wonder if they are beginning to "make room"
  5. What ever happened to the Zayta? I remember hearing rumors about the Zayta being made 2-3 years ago but nothing was ever made/released.
  6. Sunline FC Sniper is my go to line for anything besides topwater and crankbaits/jerkbaits. Shooter is good but I do not recomend it if you have never used a fluorocarbon because it is very stiff and harder to manage than Sniper
  7. 6th Sense Crush 75x is the best flat sided squarebill I have used to date.
  8. Most people try to catch the fry guarders not the fry. Jk at least you caught something
  9. I've seen many mountain lions around Silverwood when I use to live there and was glad that I was on a boat when I did see them. Honestly I wouldn't fish there at night only in the mornings. This is what mountain lions sound like when the cry:
  10. Jigs Texas rigged Rage Craws Weightless Fat Ikas Bladed Jigs Squarebills Shakey heads
  11. They always choke the Crush 75x in the front. I've never used a crank that gets choked in the front so much
  12. I usually use 16lb FC Sniper. 12lb Pline CXX works well too I just prefer Fluorocarbon.
  13. Email them. Best way to find out.
  14. My Dicks Sporting Goods Rewards gave me a $100 gift card so I decided to stock up on some plastics.
  15. I don't know what it is but I've always have done better with natural colors. Perhaps it's because I've never had that much confidence when using darker colored plastics. But I still have great success using black and blue jigs and bladed jigs in muddy water
  16. Thats great! I've been sketching a few designs myself to make one. I think I saw Jason Christie make a really simple one with a tupperware container and a bolt of some sort running through the side
  17. When I fish muddy water Green Pumpkin will out catch June Bug/Black and Blue 4:1.
  18. Siebert has the best jigs on the market IMO. Tons of different jig styles and tons of color options. And to top it all off they are priced extremely well. Siebert Jigs are the only jigs you will find in my jig box now.
  19. Tried Keitech Fat Impact Fats this spring and haven't stopped catching fish on them since.
  20. My guess is that its bluegill nipping at it.
  21. I think the 7' M/F would be your best bet. As far as the rod action this may help you understand better: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/rod-actions-power.html
  22. Sharp Knife or hold it under a lighter for half a seconds or so
