  1. I ran out of rage craws in Black and blue the other day day and had to use a structure bug. I have used them as trailers before with not much luck but I absolutely smoked them with it this time though
  2. Siebert Outdoors
  3. Some of things I'm now excited for are the RES Tungsten 2 Tap, Spro RK Star 55, the new St Croix Legend Elites, and the Sunline Assassin FC,
  4. My favorite rod is the Dobyns DX 744. It retails for $350 but you can find it for less. I purchased it from an old BR sponsor (not sure if I can say his website so if interested just message me) I love this rod because it is perfectly balanced, very sensitive, has great cork/great look, and you can use it from pretty much anything.
  5. It's going to be a long spring without an XRK50 in Rayburn Red.....
  6. I pretty much use 16lb FC Sniper for everything. I love that stuff and have no intentions of trying anything else except maybe tatsu
  7. Power Pro (regular I'm not a fan of SS8) Suffix 832 (personal favorite) Sunline FX2 (favorite braid for frogs)
  8. I don't think one jig can do it all but the Arkie jig is pretty close to being able to do it all. With color you only need 2-3 a Black and Blue, Green Pumpkin, and what ever Brown variant works best for you (PBJ, solid brown, brown and orange, brown and black, ect.) You don't need to over complicate jig color just use simple color that works for you and stick with it.
  9. Siebert Outdoors makes the best jigs IMO. Swim Jigs: I like anything from 1/4 oz to 3/8 oz I usually use some sort of white and some sort of color that imitates a Bluegill Arkie Jigs: I almost exclusively use a 3/8 oz because 95% of the time I'm using an arkie jig I'm skipping it under docks and the 3/8oz works best for me. Colors I like a Black and Blue, Green Pumpkin, and some sort of Brown which almost 98% of the time is PBJ Football Jigs: I use any where from 3/8oz to 1 ounce it all depends on what depth of water I'm fishing. I use the same colors as I do an arkie jig. My biggest advice when it comes to jig colors is do not over complicate it. You do not need 100 different color of jigs. IMO you only need 2-3 colors of jigs. A black and blue, green pumpkin, and a brown jig of what ever color is your favorite (PBJ, solid brown, brown and orange, ect)
  10. Siebert makes a color called Falcon Lake Craw. If you re looking for a green pumpkin and red jig I would suggest that.
  11. Shakey heads. If I go for numbers I always use Shakey heads. My favorite worms to fish on it are a Trick Worm and a 6" Roboworm
  12. TW sales mainly. Also I use a lot of sniper and on TW it is $5 cheaper to buy two 660 yard spools and you get an extra 120 yards. I'm very paranoid of buying line of ebay even from a trusted seller.
  13. Gen 2s were absolute tanks. Gen 3s are just a headache
  14. 40lb with leader. You can use 30lb but IMO 40lb handles a lot better and has less dig ins.
  15. All of mine get used but some get used more than others. Plus as others say I have more reels than rods. I have an addiction to buying reels.
  16. So whats the difference between a regular spool and SV? Is the SV just a shallow spool? Are the Daiwas marked SV just 50 sized reels? Pardon my "basic" questions I'm a Shimano guy lol.
  17. Did someone try and rip the gills out of this fish? I've heard of some people doing this to muskies due to them eating other fish. It's a shame to see some one hurt such a beautiful animal
  18. Years ago when I got into bass fishing I went into the local Barnes Noble and the only book I found was the "Bassmaster Seasonal Patterns for Catching Bass" I had to have read that a hundred times. I have no idea where it is now lol.
  19. 1.) T-rig plastics- Fluoro 2.) Jigs- Fluoro but I use braid now and then to play around with it 3.) Hollow Frogs Spooks/Dogwalkers- braid 4.) Poppers- mono 5.) Spinnerbaits- fluoro 6.) Swim jigs- fluoro 7.) Drop shot- braid + leader 8.) Wacky rig- braid + leader 9.) Soft jerkbaits- fluoro 10.) Crankbaits- mono
  20. I read an article on *** where they said the biggest fish they hae ever caughten were caught fishing very slow or very fast. When I thought about it I realized the same thing applied to me. What this meant was fish something very natural looking very slowly so the fish have a good look at it or fish it very fast so they won't know what it is so they want to grab it quickly to figure out what it is. Just something else to think about when targeting your new PB.
  21. u40 is great stuff. As for cleaning, I will either use a magic eraser or a microfiber cloth with denatured alcohol.
  22. Can't speak on the BB1 but the Curado I is the best Curado to date IMO
  23. I agree. I don't think a NLMB will see a trout and go "pshh I'm not going to eat that thing I've never seen it before." If it will fit in his mouth he will try and eat it.
  24. Just want some shorter rods lol. I'm picky I guess lol. Honestly I would most likely use this rod for 3/8oz football jigs in 10-15' of water and possibly bladed jigs up shallow
  25. What about the Diablo Spec R? I have two 744s a 745 and a 743 so I want something a little shorter lol. I love long rods but I'm considering selling some of my longer rods and get a few shorter ones
