  1. I will use black sharpie on my green pumpkin and black and blue bladed jigs. I would rather be fishing than taking all that time to paint them.
  2. Xcalibur XRK50 Spro Aruku Shad Strike King Red Eye Shad
  3. I bet they will be around $11-$19
  4. Oh yes I want it. It is to pretty and to cool for me not to have it. Plus the trokar hooks on a frog style bait sound awesome.
  5. It's to pretty and to cool for me not to buy.
  6. A lot of guys fish the bladed jig to fast. I fish it on a slow retrieve as slow as I can to get that blade to thump. My set up I like is: Dobyns 734 or 744 (I'm using a St Croix LTB 7'1 MH a lot now since I am most likely switching my Champions to LTBs.) I pair it with either a Curado 200 IHG or Chronarch CI4 150hg with 16lb Sniper (I've tried braid with it before and it was alright but it just feels better with fluoro imo) For Trailers I like paddle tails. Keitechs, Swim Senkos, Skinny Dippers all work. But I saw a user here, (I think Blue Basser?) mention using a side ways rigged Pit Boss as a trailer and I gave it a shot and that is now my all time favorite trailer. What determines what trailer I use is usually how high or low I want the bait to run in the water column. Paddle tails make it run deeper and something like the Pit Boss makes it run higher. I will fish the bladed jig anywhere. It has become my favorite search bait. The biggest thing I can say is if you feel the blade just stop thumping for some reason set the hook! I've noticed 50% of the time a fish will rip the rod out of your hands and the other 50% of the time when they eat the bait you can't feel them hit it but the blade just suddenly stops thumping.
  7. I like the frogs. I'm very excited for this new LT bait
  8. Black and Blue Bladed Jig is the bait I would throw all day long.
  9. I just want a line that sinks, has zero stretch, and is invisible. If this is translucent I will definitely give it a try
  10. Maybe this video could also help with your quest. I find Matt Allen's information incredible
  11. Dang dude save some for the rest of us lol
  12. Heavier Cover= Heavier Line Deep Water= Lighter line Vegetation= Braid
  13. Blue Chartreuse Shad
  14. A Rage version of the Keitech sounds like music to my ears. Mainly because I prefer Coffee scent than Squid scent
  15. I understand the regulations and what lakes allow the A-rig I was not sure if you were fishing lakes with the 2 rod 2 hook rule and was wondering how you had it rigged with only two hooks because I fish some lakes that an A-rig would kill in but I have yet to find an effective way to rig it with only 2 hooks
  16. Great color. I use Green Pumpkin in all water clarities including muddy. But when I can't get bit on Green Pumpkin I will switch to Junebug and I will whack them on it.
  17. My rule of thumb is never skimp on two things. Hooks and Line. These are the things that really determine if you will land a fish or not.
  18. Granola Bars, Chips, A Sandwich, Water, and the occasional Monster.
  19. The rule is no more than two rods with two hooks. Which means you can't have more than two rods in the water with more than two hooks on each rod at one time. But from what a DNR officer told me when I asked him about it was that lures like a jerkbait are technically one bait however an A-rig has several baits. A lot of Illinois laws are vague and confusing. And thats from someone who lived in California....
  20. If you want jerkbaits anything Lucky Craft rocks! My favorites are 100 sized Pointesr in American Shad, Aurora Black, and Ghost Minnow Structure Bugs are still good my favorite color is Watermelon Red Crankbaits that I would get are 6th Sense Crush 75x, Lucky Craft 1.5 DRS, Strike Kings (mainly a squarebill guy myself) Shakey heads I like the Megastrike Shakey2
  21. Curious on how you are rigging the A-rig with Illinois's 2 hook rule
  22. My apologizes I hadn't seen how old the thread was. What is with all these old threads being brought up lately?
  23. 7lb Sniper is great stuff. Has a diameter closer to 6lb but has the strength of 8lb. Personally I prefer 10lb braid with a 7lb Sniper leader on a spinning rod but thats just me.
  24. His website says he is running on 10-12 buisness days. Be patient. Remember he is taking all these orders by himself. He is a great guy and makes the highest quality jigs on the market IMO.
  25. Frogs are much easier to walk with braid. Plus you are only asking for your heart to be broken by using 10lb mono.
