  1. Kvds no doubt, but the H2O crs is a close second.
  2. I just fished a tournament down there and I got a nice smallie and a nice largemouth texas rigging Go 2 Baits swimming craws.
  3. Where did you find that at? Are you on that forum?
  4. Really hope they don't change the baits in any way. Pretty good baits IMO.
  5. They have never melted for me.
  6. 7' mh baitcasting for soft baits and jigs 6' 10" mh baitcasting for soft baits ( I hardly fish hard baits for bass anymore) 7' m spinning rod for shaky head and wacky rig
  7. I have 5 mettles and 3 silver max reels. I like both, but the silver max is my favorite because I like the light feel to it. The mettle is hard to beat for the price though, especially when you can get them for 30 bucks.
  8. I let the fish tell me.
  9. Another question for you guys. Xfast tip for heavy cover and fast for open water. Which one can you use for both open water and heavy cover?
  10. Yes 30 size for the presidents. The 35 is quite large.
  11. 1/4oz. I like a 3/16oz in 5-10 fow, and a 1/8oz in less than 5 foot of water. 1/4oz tends to snag a bunch in super shallow water.
  12. Well you beat me, I only have 21 lol. My 3 basic colors are green pumpkin, watermelon, and black/blue. There are exceptions though. The lakes that I fish, I usually catch more and better fish with a plum colored big worm than a green pumpkin or watermelon big worm. But for some reason, the worm has to be at least 9 inches to do any good with the worm. In the green pumpkins and watermelons I get carried away by all the different flake colors. In my opinion, bass will not hit a watermelon red vs a watermelon purple, unless the water is super clear or the fish are heavily pressured.
  13. So what kind of power and action would I want for a drop shot rod? Not looking to buy one for cover and one for open water. I am planning on putting a lews spinning reel on it. I am going to put light braid with a fluro leader on it. Budget is under $130.
  14. Thats what chris lane said he uses for frogging.
  15. Trick worms will not float and are not durable. I use sneed and go 2 baits shaky worms. My favorite is the go 2s. Get them online. They might seem a bit pricy, but they are super durable, 100% hand poured without hardener, and they float like a bobber.
  16. Online at Basspro. I like them on a 1/2 ounce shaky head. Power finesse.
  17. Carolina rigging a small finesse worm.
  18. One time I was crappie fishing and I found a bandit 100 in firetiger. I wasn't catching anything so I tied it onto my line even though it only had one sharp hook. I ended up losing two nice 3 lb+ fish, and ended up landing a 4 pounder and, two two pounders. I also found a kvd 1.5 in sexy shad and it fits in nicely with my other two kvd 1.5s in sexy shad.
  19. Late fall/ winter/ early spring- Rapala shad rap 5 in shad or crawdad color. Warmer water ( Above 65 degrees) Kvd 1.5 in gizzard shad, and sexy shad.
  20. They are great, but don't use their mono. The mono is bad, but everything else is great! I still prefer the kvd 1.5 better than the crs though.
  21. The two spinnerbaits I use are the h2o express spinnerbait in all the sizes, and a local company here called hoppy's lures. Hoppy's has a bigger blade on them than the h2o, so I can fish them faster. Now a $4 buzzbait is what I call cheap . I use hoppy's hog buzz and tally whacker because the wire angle they have. Check them out and you will see that they have a u shaped wire to get more action and a better hookset. They are the best buzzbaits I have ever used.
  22. Go 2 Baits. http://www.setyourhookbaits.com/
  23. Wow that is nuts.
  24. 7 inch go 2 baits shaky worm in green pumpkin rigged on a cj's shaky head.
