  1. Just got the G-Force Cull System. The tags came completely blunt. I assume I need to sharpen them? If yes, what is the best way to do this? Thanks.
  2. I also mostly t-rig it with 3/16 and it works well. Junebug and GP are the colors I use. Also, try wacky rigging it. With the uv tail it has this nice swimming/gliding action. Cut off that uv tail and you got a nice senko style bait.
  3. Thank you guys. Last year I've made the mistake of bending the hooks out too much. That made them very hard to fish over mats as they would snag all the time. Farmer, how do you stuff dingers in them, cut a slot on the top?
  4. 1. Jig for pitching and swimming 2. T-rig with beaver or craw 3. Spinnerbait 4. Square bill 5. Frog 6. Drop shot roboworm or wacky senko
  5. My favorite frogs. I'm just curious; do you modify the hooks or leave them as is? Also, I noticed the hook points on the popping frogs are shorter than on the regular frogs. Any concern with that?
  6. I've been using Gamakatsu EWG 3/0 or 4/0. It may be just bad luck, but after you loose few good fish you begin to wonder.
  7. Farmer, I'm curious about this when/where/why you're using that action craw vs pitt boss. As for may favorite craw: zoom speed craw.
  8. I've been fishing mostly with Sweet Beaver and Pitt boss and I'm still trying to figure out which one I like more. One thing I've noticed is that they have different action in water: beaver glides nice without much action; Pitt boss tail has a lot more action movement. So which one do you prefer? Also, I've been having problem loosing too many fish this year. I've always used 3/0 or 4/0 EWG hooks. But I'm thinking maybe it's time to try different hook for the beaver... Maybe round band offset, or straight shank flipping hook? I'm mostly fishing sparse cover with MH rods and #30 braid.
  9. Thanks guys, sounds good. Just have to remember not to throw the hook with the point cut off on the tourney day...
  10. I've been mostly trying to "shake fish off" when prefishing for a tournament. But I'm reading that some anglers prefish without a hook. What do you do to avoid hooking the fish? How would you rig a plastic without a hook? What about other lures? Jigs? Spinnerbaits?
  11. Trolling is one of the reasons why I've made a switch from fishing walleye tournaments to bass couple years ago. It may be very effective at times but also extremely boring, and even though you have to know what you are doing it doesn't involve a lot of skill in my opinion. I won't be very sad if I never troll another day in my life.
  12. Green pumpkin 90% of the time for me.
  13. Well, I think I will try uni to uni this year, maybe with a longer leader like Mitch suggested. Thanks.
  14. Thanks everyone. I did use swivel on mine last year. The main reason I liked it was because I could re-tie it a lot of faster with the swivel. I carry pre-tied drop shot leaders and when I needed to retie all I have to do is tie a clinch knot to the swivel (about 10 seconds). I found that tying double uni takes me at least couple minutes. The main problem is that with the swivel I have to keep the FC leaders kind of short (around 4 ft.).
  15. I was wondering how many of you prefer to use a swivel to connect braid to fluoro for your drop shot rig?
