  1. Where online can I watch it?
  2. Does anyone know what time the Classic comes on the Outdoor Channel. It's the only channel I get and I don't want to miss Day 1 of the Classic!
  3. Thanks guys I guess I'll go out and find some deep vertical structure and dropshot, throw a crig, football jig, etc. Thanks for all the great answers. I can always count on you guys!
  4. I am planning on making a couple trips to the lake this winter and I am wondering where winter bass are going to be. Should I target deep structure. My lake is only 30' deep at it's deepest. Or should I flip docks with a jig? I have heard go deep, I've heard shallow and I've heard either one will hold bass. So where (deep or shallow, creeks, humps, docks, etc.) and what baits on what rods should I throw? Thanks for any input.
  5. I defiantly prefer the BPS Crankin Stick! I have used both and feel that the BPS Crankin Rod is extremely sensitive and light, as well as strong and well-made. If you got a 7'0" rod in it (probably the most versatile length) I would say get a 7'0" medium or medium heavy action rod, which you could throw cranks and possibly spinnerbaits and jerkbaits and possibly moving topwater baits (poppers, buzzbaits, spooks, etc.) One rod isn't going to be best for every application but you can use it for all these things IF you wanted to. A 5.4:1 reel is not mandatory for cranking although it is preferred. But if you plan on using the things I just mentioned along with your cranks I would go with a 6.2-6.5:1 gear ratio. Reel choice is up to you!
  6. It's not from backlashes it's from catfish fins when a cat tries to get my 6XD and tangles in the line. It actually happens a lot at the main lake I fish. Almost 1 out of every 3 or 4 fish is a cat!! I'm going to switch to power pro and see how I like it! I can always switch back if I don't like it, or my catch ratio goes down. Thanks for the input guys, braid is going to get a shot!!
  7. I agree but on one 6lb one with 12 or 14lb test. Other than that 100% agree!
  8. I know that it is popular to use fluoro because it sinks and mono because it has a little more stretch for cranks but what about braid for deep divers? I have used mono and didn't like it because of the lack of sensitivity, but I am currently using fluoro but I feel it nicks too easily and don't want to retie constantly like I do or loose a big fish. So is 50lb power pro and a softer sweeping hookset my solution? I know braid is good for lipless cranks in grass, but what are you guys opinion on it for deep divers?
  9. Going to pick up a 7'3" MH Veritas for another C-Rig rod. If I don't like it as much as my carbonlites ill take it back and trade it for one. Will most likely be trying the *** Black eventually thanks to you guys! Thanks for all the helpful input!!
  10. Well I fill my spool with my main line but I was wondering if backing has any advantages other than saving more expensive line.
  11. I know what backing is but I want to know what the point of it is. Like say I have 30 yards of mono backing and 70 yards of fluoro main line. Why not just spool up 70 yards of fluoro and be done? Is there advantage or what? Thanks guys!
  12. I am looking to upgrade some of my cheaper rods with a quality $100 rod. I own a couple carbonlites and I love them. IMHO I think they might be the best on the market for that price. Should I buy a couple more or get something else such as a doybns, veritas, falcon bucco, or another brand. What do you guys think?
  13. Well $400 is max. Im planning on mounting it to my bass fishing boat.
  14. Hey guys I'm looking into getting a quality fishfinder for under $350. It is all the money I have at the time and was wondering which finders you guys would suggest for this price. Thanks for any suggestions and/or comments!!
  15. X4 on the Pro Qualifier. IMHO its the best reel for under $120 and if you get it on sale for under $90 you're a theif because at that price its a steal. But full price and it's still well worth it!!
  16. Price isn't an issue if it really is better! I just don't want to spend $30 a box for something that is just a little better than a $15-20 box. Thanks for the input guys. So now the question is Red Label, Tatsu, Sniper, or Super. Which of those four. I might buy them all and see which I like best. But thanks guys for making the decision to narrow it down 10x easier!!
  17. Thanks guys I'm picking up some Red Label this weekend to try. Ill compare it to Vanish since I'm not having problems unlike you guys. If I like it more I will start using it. Thanks guys for all the fast and reliable responses!!
  18. I miswrote!! I was considering Red Label! But I dont want to pay to much for another brand or line that is overpriced!! I might have to try out some Seaguar Red Label.
  19. 100% with smalljaw67. Try upgrading at least one of your rods to a MH fast tip for single hook baits. You should start to see bigger fish being caught and not lost. But pretty much smalljaw67 nailed it!!
  20. I currently use Berkley Vanish for all my fluorocarbon applications, which is almost everything other than frogging/flipping(braid), and topwater poppers/spooks/etc.(mono). I use it in 10lb. for cranks, 14lb for general, and 17lb. for jigs, small swimbaits, squarebills, etc. I hear lots of terrible reviews, but i havent had any problems. What I was wondering is should I switch brands to Seaguar Red Label, Sunline, etc. I think theyre over priced unless they are signifigantly better. Comment what you guys think. Stay or switch. And if you say switch, what brand would you suggest?
  21. ***. Cheaper. Better reviews. If you dont like it, hey. Take it back and try out the St Croix Premier. Just be sure to save the receipt!
  22. For a beggining basic size or for a standard 1/2 oz. spinnerbait I'd go with two #4's, and if you want a smaller bottom blade or bigger top I'd suggest going up or down about half a size. Mess around and find what you like. But for a general size range thats it..
  23. I usually fish by myself when I fish for bass out of my canoe at the lake. I usually bring one 6'6" medium spinning combo with 10lb. fluoro for most finese/lighter applicaions, a 7'0" MH baitcatst combo with 17lb. fluoro for all around baitcast lures, and a 7'6" H baicast with 50lb. Power Pro braid for flipping/frogging. I bring a Bass Pro Tacklebag with four 370 boxes filled with just about one or two of everything (cranks, spinnerbaits, frogs, jigs, buzzbaits, terminal tackle, a scale, etc.) and a few bags of soft plastics in one of the larger side pockets. So I have just about every application covered. It works for me, and you should use whatever works for you, because when I canoe fish I usually am doing it not only to catch bass, but to have fun!! My PB for out of the canoe is also my personal lake best (7lb.) But whatever is most comfortable for you! Oh yeah, for a camera I just use my phone. I have a Lifeproof(waterproof case) but if you dont I would recommend one, or put your phone in a waterproof bag and seal it until you use it in case of a little accident!!
  24. Whatever you are most comfortable with and have the most confidence in. But some top producers are.. 1.T-Rigged Soft Plastic(Worm,Lizard,Craw,Etc.) 2.Jig w/Soft Plastic Craw Trailer 3.Crankbait 4.Spinnerbait 5.Topwater Popper/Spook 6.Topwater Frog My Top Five Personal Favorites are.. 1.Swim Jig 2.Hollow Bodied Frog 3.Topwater Popper 4.T-Rigged Soft Plastic 5.Jig w/Soft Plastic Craw Trailer
