What the hell??? I own a jdm metanium xg and its made out of ci4+ and its very durable, you get what you pay for in almost anything you buy, the svs braking system is awesome, the chronarch also has micro gearing (i think) wich makes the 7.6 ratio have alot more torque than previous models (probably the torque of a 6. something. ci4+ is a carbon infused plastic but is so durable, anyway even if it was a bit less durable, as long as you dont run over it with a car i dont think you will say its less durable at all.
The new chronarch is an awesome us reel but since I invested 450$ on the jdm core(metanium), i honestly havent fished a better reel in all my life. I am sure that until they release a new version of the us core, the chronarch might own the spotlight until then even if there is less bearings inside.
