  1. Im headed down to Lake Ray Roberts this weekend. Anybody have any tips on where to locate bass. Im thinking main lake points this time of year, just curious if anyone could help me out on finding good spots? Thanks! Ryan
  2. The hollow body frog is the one lure I have never had any success with whatsoever. Ive owened a few they have never caught a single fish bass, and I was using them in bodies of water that I catch a ton of bass out of on a wide aray of other lures. So I picked up a SPRO Bronze eye 65 frog in black and yellow. After watching all of Dean Rojos videos on the bronzeye and how he walks it and gets monster bites I was determined to fish it until I caught one. After multiple attempts I still have yet to get a bite on it. Im thinking my problem is that I cannot get the bait to walk. I have many top water walking baits that I have walked for years but for the life of me I cannot get this frog to walk like Rojos. What am I doing wrong? My setup is a 6'6" meduim rod with a Abu Garcia Revo SX and 15lb P-Line Flourocarbon. Thanks, Ryan
  3. 3/8oz Buckeye mop jig Green and red with a Havoc Pit Boss trailer.
  4. Havoc Pit Boss! Love this bait! T-rigged or best of all jig trailer!
  5. Id like to see the casting position to know if my hand would be resting past the cork grip that tapers.
  6. Id like to see a pic of someone holding the *** and see how much on there hand is resting on the grip behind the reel. I dont have one local to check out. Like mentioned above the rumored small grip is the only thing turning me away from the ***.
  7. Im using the same reel ive had for about 4 years now its Johnny Morris Bass Pro reel. Its actually a fairly good real and I will continue using it for the time being and then probably buy a new quantom. Im leaning towards this rod I think. Falcon Bucoo Micro Guide Casting Rod 6'6" Medium Heavy http://www.***.com/Falcon_Bucoo_Micro_Guide_Casting_Rods/descpage-FBMC.html Ive never owned a medium heavy before so Im kinda curious whether I should stay with a medium or go to a medium heavy..
  8. I have been bass fishing for a very long time. I fish mostly ponds because I do not have a boat. Im looking to get a new casting rod. The one I have been using for many years is Berkley Lightning rod. Its 6'6" with a medium action. Im not sure if it has a fast tip or not. Id like to stay in the 6'6" range or slightly longer because it is more conveniante when fishing ponds casting around trees on the bank and what not. The rods I have been considering: *** ***, 6'7" Medium, Fast - I like this rod but I like a long handle behind the real and this one seems fairly short on the 6'7" model. I dont mind going a little bit longer to acheive more handle room, but the grip on these rods looks a little small no matter what length. The other is the St. Croiux Mojo Bass. I dont see any draw backs to this rod yet but I would like to get something with micro guides if possible. The other one I have been looking at is the Abu Garcia Vendetta. What rod would you guys suggest for under or at a $100? Im mostly throwing jigs, swim jigs, texas rigged worms and spinnerbait and buzzbaits. Should I consider a medium heavy? Basically I need a all around rod and can fish my whole tackle box with.3 Thanks, Ryan
