  1. Anyone order from jpangler before, they have some good prices just want to make sure it's legit before I pull the trigger
  2. I've been fighting the urge to buy a stella lately. I'll probably pick up a curado I over the winter, not sure about the stella yet
  3. Went to spot pond today for about 3 hours, got one nibble but I didn't hook into anything. Planning on going to wachusett next Wednesday hopefully I can get a laker
  4. Watching all the bass inhale and spit out the lures without the guy even knowing something hit the lure made me wonder how often that happens to me.
  5. I had a lews tournament mg, retails around 130 I think. I liked it, but I like the tatula better. If you don't want the tatula because it's big and awkward the lews are much smaller reels
  6. Perch, pickerel and trout are all more active in te colder water than bass. It's funny that you caught 2 perch on a perch rapala, I always seem to catch them on a perch colored bait too.
  7. Went out yesterday and got nothing, I think it's time to focus on trout. I'm going to wachusett next week to try to get a laker
  8. The avid is my favorite spinning rod. I love the handle and it's plenty sensitive, I don't intend to got any other spinning rods except for avids. That being said I've never used a fenwick and I'm sure it's a great rod, but I love my avid and I plan on getting more.
  9. Robo worms and zoom trick worms
  10. I haven't used the first gen ones, but tip heavy and dead is pretty spot on for the red ones
  11. Usually wen I fish for trout from shore I'll throw one line out with power bait and let that sit while I fish with another rod
  12. If you're fishing a body of water known to have trout with your kayak try trolling small cranks, 1.5s and small jerk baits.
  13. Went out for an hour or so in natick. Got a small pickerel off a jerk bait, and I think a turtle hit my senko. I was working the senko really slow, letting it sit for a few seconds then lifting it. On the pause I got a vicious hit, set the hook and tried to reel it in. It felt like I was snagged, wouldn't budge at all. Idk if I was snagged or if it was a big turtle, but it had me pretty excited for a second (I like to think it was a turtle)
  14. In early September I was doing really well, haven't had much time to fish lately. I might take next week off and give trout a shot.
  15. If you've used any other revos it won't suprise you, it just feels faster. Also the paint scratches pretty easily.
  16. Very thorough report, let's see a 5 year stella write up next
  17. We've had some crazy weather lately, big temp swings, then this last storm. How is that going to effect the bite this weekend?
  18. I have both. The patriarch is 35 size, and the xt is the 30 size. I like the xt better, I think because of the size the 35 just seems too big. For the money I would get the xt, I'm not sure that the patriarch is worth the extra cash
  19. I would use braid, then a leader as necessary
  20. Awesome fish, they sure are good fighters
  21. I'll have to give them a shot, if I can find some time to fiah before the water freezes
  22. For the reel I would get a tatula, for the rod I would comb through flea market here, you can find some really good deals
  23. Just the regular tatula is the cheapest. Call Ron and see what kind of prices he has on it. 360-757-8171 To the op I'm probably gonna buy a new zillion next to see how it stacks up to the tatula and the old zillion. My gut tells me there's going to be negligible differences between the new zillion and tatula but I'm gonna buy it anyway, looks like the marketing guys win this time.
  24. The Chinese are taking over
