  1. Yeah I've had that happen to a few via. pickerel, but more often than not they're repairable. It's a sad day when a frog gets completely shredded though!
  2. Y'know, considering the thought and engineering that went into them, those new Sebile Pivot frogs are really inexpensive. I was expecting a higher price point tbh. Also I consider any topwater under $10 cheap since you don't generally lose them, and when they get messed up it's more of an opportunity to mess with them and customize than throw them away if you ask me. I have a bunch of Lunk3rhunt Lunker frogs that now have skirt, worm or fur legs/tails, bigger/different hooks different trailer hooks, etc. Just get some mend-it and let your imagination go wild my man. My frogs don't die, they evolve.
  3. Y'know, I can't argue wth any of your logic haha
  4. I can't wait to. The fit & finish as well as colors look great and the segmentation should make them nice and finessey. I got the 4" and after fondling had to get the 5.5". They feel like they'll do exactly what I'm looking for on that end of things.
  5. Megabass 110 magnum SP in trout Duo 110sp in matte tiger Y-Z Sashimi crank in chameleon bass Biwaa swimbait in trout Some Uptons dragon tail worms Pit bosses Megabass anthrax 100 in raigyo Some terminal tackle Madflash wart in purple One of those cool new yo-zuri prism crayfish Bettencourt rodent wake in Large/Brown A Sebile pivot frog in black A bunch more frog customizing stuff Robo People's worms I think I need a cigarette and I don't even smoke haha Can't wait to get everything in and put the matching dressed trebles on them and whatnot. I feel like I'm surfing a gear stoke tsunami into the spring, this ice can't melt fast enough at this point.
  6. Yeah but it also got me a tackle box full of sexy JDM baits so it can't be all that bad
  7. The pop x has gill slits, but not as pronounced as the pop max.
  8. Oh, agreed... That kind of stuff is pretty but I don't see it either. For $20 though, I'll go for a little taste of the good life here and there haha
  9. That won't even get your fingerprints on the Roman Made case my man haha... It's all relative. If you can swing it, you can bring it. To each his own! I love Megabass. It's like art I get to catch fish with.
  10. I picked up a large bettencourt rodent recently, I can't wait to throw that thing!
  11. I won't know until I go now will I?
  12. Cool thanks, I was just curious. Also, I'm toying with the idea of getting rid of my NRX 852c/51e mean green finesse casting combo and could use some of your thoughts. The only reason I say that I'm thinking about it is because I have a really clean Supreme XT spinning reel sitting around and I think it would pair perfectly with an 7'1" MXF rod for my light plastics. Just the ease and skippability of the spin, and the sexiness of those Envys... I already have the reel and if I sold the Green Machine I could get the *** and have plenty left over to go back into savings. It seems to make sense in my head. Am I taking crazy pills?? WWYD?
  13. OP I say "run what ya brung" until you're familiar enough with the technique to know what you want out of your next specific combo to spend the $ wisely.
  14. That rod is going to have more backbone than a brontosaurus.
  15. The first day back out I'm going to be like a kid in a candy store, I honestly won't even know what to throw first.
  16. Here is another DTH shot I found She was a big 'un
  17. Hey any of you who got in on the hudd deluxe bluegill order like I did- any projection on when we should see those? I'm in no rush whatsoever - the water around here is still "drive an ATV on it" thick"- but I'm kind of curious.
  18. I prefer pit bosses or rage craws in most (t-rig) cases, but I've found luck with them when the bite was slow and I knew I was on to a fish. They do require a lot more patience though, they move and sink slow and require a careful texposing. I like keeping a few in the box. I want to apply them to drop shotting a few spots this season and see how they do, I feel like they would be good for a compliment to the bentos I usually use for that.
  19. That is really cool man, I have caught the same fish a couple times at this one remote pond... I have yet to name her though. And while we're sharing, my favorite "down the hatch" shot from this year
  20. That is just a beautiful looking fish, man! Nice work getting those shots!
  21. Shaky head 'em on a standup or t-rig em tail-first and work 'em slow. They get smashed.
  22. I don't know about anybody else, but my trigger finger is feelin' a little... Itchy. Lots of shiny new things out right now. Might have to gronk a gift card tonight.
  23. I deal the best way I know how.
