Man, I seriously hope that there are no deals like I found last year on Crucials in this sale. I am literally afraid of finding a MXF in a "too good to say no" deal.

I gotta choose one?!?? Man, that's no fun. Uptons, Lunker City, Zoom, Robo, Zman... I mean I could just go on and on. They each have great products that have their place but you don't always want a floater, sinker, a fattie or a whippy worm... To just limit yourself to one would be a travesty. I realize it's just trying to be helpful and give you places to look but all the "pick one" threads drive me up the wall haha

Also, internet high five to booty and the others in the Exsence DC thread. Digitaka was lightning fast (beat things I bought domestically!), pretty darn cheap and honestly it simply does not get any more JDM than this right here haha Arigato indeed.

Patience. I want that big, deep fish but I always seem to get worn down, go to my strong suit and boat the fish I know I can pull right then. It may be a nice fish, but it's not the one I was really going for, y'know? I need to work on that.

I love wakebaits. My favorite is probably the bettencourt rat though, for some reason that profile just produces rage in big fat fish and they aren't even expensive IMO. Maybe it's the realism, that nobody throws a rat like that, the red meat or the action in general I don't know but they are just a blast to throw and fish from the edge of my seat. There are so many good ones out there though, and I can't wait to put some nautical miles on my Silent Killer this year too. Topwater rocks. Nothing quite like it!

Boats? They're hull up in my yard until the ski season beats me up enough to start staying home on the weekends haha

I am not a believer in triggers. Teaches habits that will have to be unlearned later and that's not ideal IMO. I don't think you can really go wrong though. Your experience should tell you that the equiement means nothing, it's the interaction with your Dad that made it special. Remember that! Kids would have no idea if you have them a $30 combo or a $1k combo, they just know they're out with you fishing because it's all that really matters!

I just made an "auction site" cart purchase simply to distract me from the much bigger TW order I will have to put in soon. I had to give the Bait Monkey a snack so he didn't take me to the all-you-can-eat buffet again. On the bright side I got a Megabass trucker hat so others can see I have a problem straight away and avoid contact/subsequent Monkey Flu/scorned wife syndrome.

I've noticed a few times when my back ordered items were in stock for a few weeks but I hadn't been sent yet. Anytime I've sent a polite note it's handled immediately, but you'd think they'd be on that a little better for preorder guys. Certainly not a big deal, just sort of annoying.

It's crazy I know- It happens though, man! It's an opinion and they're like snowflakes. No two are quite alike and it is beautiful. Cheers to being on different planets and still being both right AND happy!

Speaking of which they better ship my d**n gliss and hollow sunfish soon. Hate it when they make me call to get my back orders sent to me.

Yeah I was shopping around for a DC reel when that conversation came up. I was looking at a Scorpion DC until Booty saved me (good lookin' out man!) from myself by correcting me in thinking the two shared a DC system (it's just the brakes). I like fast reels so it should be a perfect fit. It even matches perfectly. Im definitely excited for it. Should be a really versatile and easy to use combo that should pair perfectly with my others. The simplicity and specifics of that particular DC system appeals to me for sure. Gonna spool 'er up with some 12# Tatsu, and intend to get a spare spool to load up w some 20-30# smackdown too for fast swaps.

Well guys, I done gone and did it now. Sold my Champ 705cb/Curado I and rolled it over into a Megabass Destroyer Phase 3 Elseil and an Exsence DC. Its going to be sofa king awesome, I cannot wait!

I don't know about favorite but I definitely think they are a great value. Those NV rods give you a lot of bang for the buck and are very versatile. The handles and reel seats are hit or miss but I really like them. I have two currently and they are on par with some of my other rods costing much more.

I really like 13's policy of a your choice of a flat fee for replacement or upgrade as you desire. It may not be a free replacement but it also serves to switch things up if you want. One time I broke the tip off a ML spinning rod and exchanged it for a heavy casting rod! $75 definitely sucks to fork over but it's better than $250 for a new rod, and it also gives you the freedom to choose your replacement.
