Got my rudder finished tonight. Went to Home Depot and picked up some supplies. I used two braces for fence building and bent them to give me a mount to the transom. I used a piece of 2" aluminum, and a cotter pin and clip to hold the aluminum in the bracket. The rudder swings freely in the bracket. Used a piece of plastic I had, similar to plexiglass. Will replace this with a piece of sheet aluminum or thicker plexiglass after I decide if this one is big enough. It's 5.5" x 12" right now. When you swing the rudder all the way up it rests on the transom. This will be great as I almost always fish by myself in my 8' Bass Hunter. I can only upload 150kb of photos so I chose one.
