  1. Wired strippers are too crazy for my taste
  2. Depends on the cover. I won't throw a jig bank fishing if I'm on rip rap. If there is grass on the rip rap I will as it sits on the grass not the rocks. As far as timber? No different really from any angle as you usually are working it over limbs. I rarely drag a jig bank fishing as it's a terrible way to locate fish and takes too long.
  3. I couldn't turn the fish and get their heads out. I love punching and my main punch rod was predisposed as my frog rod as that was the pattern for the day. However I had no similar rod for throwing a follow up bait so I used my flipping stick with the copoly. I feel like the weak point was the stretch of the copoly (pline cx premium is low low stretch) compared to zero of braid and it's veggie dicing ability.
  4. Yesterday I followed up a couple frog blows in light mat with a punch rig. Mustad flipping hook, 20 lb pline copolymer and xfast heavy rod. Hooked into two but lost both when pinning them on mat. Too much give in line? The rod is xfast and I've used braid with it before and I've ripped hooks out of fish. Am I gonna have to buy a new punching combo?
  5. Abec 5s are about as good as you need for fishing. Casting distance won't improve too much but casting effort will decrease.
  6. I'm not sure what guides are on airdx but the tds don't have the best. The airdx uses same minimalistic reel seat and basic hook hanger and I'm sure it's the same unsanded blank.
  7. Wow what an insult. They just came out with team daiwa s rods and now they have the aird x which is the exact same rod at half the price....only difference is color and name... Don't get me started on the new dumbed down tatula rod... Love daiwa reels but I'm really getting pushed to okuma and phenix rods...
  8. My dad! Couple guys in my club help me out with nuances and tricks I hadn't figured out.
  9. If your braid is digging in or breaking off while dropshotting then you are doing it wrong.
  10. You use straight fc on spinning reel? Most everyone uses braid Braid with fc leader has almost no line management issues and provides better sensitivity and hooksets. Not to mention it is cheaper.
  11. Started yesterday actually Tackle tour twitter has good info and tackle warehouse is suppose to have live coverage.
  12. Saw a picture of the alpha sv at icast with hashtag daiwa usa. Wonder what the price will be and how it will differ from jdm.
  13. Why can't they just run the smaller guides instead of having them inside a larger guide?
  14. 6lb on SK rage blade black and blue with rage bug trailer
  15. http://bfnwv.freeforums.org/general-f3.html Sign up on this forum with your first and last name as your username and ask for information (They won't approve your account if you aren't willing to put your real name.) That's how I joined my first club this year as a non boater. The bass nation of WV has many members and clubs and is growing fast with clubs always looking for non boaters. Depending on club rules you may not have an opportunity to fish this year. My club voted in a Co angler 3 tournaments into season and he is fishing with us now.
  16. Dbomb and missile craw
  17. It makes you look like an alcoholic
  18. How cool is it? Ice cold
  19. Perfect trailer for small buzzbaits! Just tried it today and am impressed. Garlic flavor, paddle tail and kicker legs. It is also flat which improves skipping and helps buzz rise faster. Can really craw the buzz along with this thing. May have to try other gambler products.
  20. Likely wasn't an issue from amazon but an issue from a lazy and irresponsible carrier.
  21. TW has asked which colors I'd like to see stocked. I'm asking for bluegill and silverside, what do you guys want me to ask for?
  22. I've caught 1 pounders on g2s. If you don't want it I'd be interested
  23. Tatula 'tacticool' Nothing to see here folks, move along.
  24. Shoot, I punch matted cattails in the spring in roughly 18 inches of water or less and catch 1 and 2 pounders.
