  1. Snooty jig because it's upturned nose and thinking it's better than other jigs.
  2. Swing jig. Very versatile.
  3. But can you escape a bee hive with it down or not wake a sleeping tiger?
  4. Took it out yesterday and it was amazing. Extremely stable and functional. I'm very pleased and can't wait until the weekend!
  5. I've been interested in rod building for a while. Would yall suggest a cheap build for the first as you have to buy equipment and learn?
  6. Website is terrible on smart phone. I have to use reading mode on mobile browser to read articles.... To follow tournament go to FLW twitter feed.
  7. I pulled the trigger on the discounted demo version. Saved over $100. Now to find accesories. Got the lime camo
  8. Team Daiwa s rod is 7'4" rated to 2 oz and loads up great. Also very light for its size. These rods aren't great for other techniques but for frogs and punching it works good.
  9. Personally I'm not concerned with trolling. Just need a convenient place to put my rod while I get on phone or prepare a rig.
  10. Im glad to see buying all those extra brush hogs paid off for you....
  11. He must have thought I meant the uni bar which I don't have much need for. A mount for a FF and a mount for a rod holder should be enough. Would like a stake anchor but a power pole micro would be fantastic.
  12. I got enough plastics as it is. But I do use mustad grip pins and they do help
  13. Shhhhhh Gambler is becoming my 3rd favorite soft plastics behind rage and missile.
  14. Hull weight isn't an issue. I've come to the conclusion that I'm not gonna find a kayak that's designed with standing foot control as of now. Better to find a kayak with features I want and just paddle like everyone else.
  15. Going to look into them this weekend and can get a deal on the 11.5 Does it come with flush holders? The dealer said one Trac mount is like 100 bucks. I'd like just one for depth finder
  16. I try to sell mine or use em up testing new things while killing time fishing. I have about another 1/3rd to get rid of.
  17. Backing for everything. My 20 lb copoly was put on a full spool. Recently took it off and about 2/3s of it was kinked and ruined from dig in and memory.
  18. They don't have same blanks. As I said all the daiwa rods have similar blanks but each step up has some other added feature or construction process. From tds rod to tatxt to tat to zillion to steez.
  19. He isn't meaning yamamoto senkos but store brand stick baits. It's ridiculous you may as well buy the yamas
  20. Marketing. Fooled many of us.
  21. Saturday I fished a 200 acre lake that is ringed with watershield. Father and I caught 4 and 2 bullfrogs. Bluebird skies and warm weather should place them under the mats. We frogged, punched, and worked outside edge of pads. The bass we caught were small and very aggressive and the couple we missed were chasing frog aggressively with multiple blowups. Strange that the fish were aggressive and active yet we couldn't pin them down and get more bites. The ones we got were near shore middle of mat and edge of mat. Worked all the points and depressions and timber sticking out. It was like the bass just weren't there. Outside of this area is 20 feet of barren flat bottom and no shad to chase. Any ideas or similar experiences?
  22. Paying for a 'tatula' but not even getting the components that set tatula apart. At the sub 150 price point all the blanks are very similar in terms of sensitivity, which is why it's important to get one with good guides, handles etc...you don't get that with the xt.
  23. Amart and e^2 both doubled this year...ridiculous.
  24. I also do the fishing ninja look. Besides protecting yourself without needing sunscreen, I'm actually COOLER in all that clothing because a. I'm insulated and b. My skin isn't radiating from being slowly cooked. Today for example, it was 90 degrees and sunny. No burns. 10 years ago? I'd be burnt and complaining about how hot it was.
  25. Same blank, dumbed down rod. Considering daiwa uses very similar blanks for all their rods, you are paying for the tatula name not the tatula quality
