I fish a 3 or 4 acre lake and I've come to the conclusion that it's high quality fishing. I've caught numerous 4+ pound largemouth and smallmouth and just today saw a Wolfpack of smallies in the 5 pound range! My PB is 6+ largemouth and have seen others.
My question is, why?
Pond has one feeder creek with steep banks and standing timber, a large section of riprap, lots of submerged grass, and a couple of rock piles.
It has largemouth, smallmouth, bluegill, tiger musky, blue cats, and stocked trout.
I'm not complaining but just trying to understand why this small lake is so much better than other similar ponds and lakes I've fished.
