Abrasion resistence around docks and timber. Also, I use my jig rod for buzzbaits.
If I had a dedicated buzzbait setup I wouldn't use flouro and if I did I'd probably use one of the value options as they are in the price range of a modest spool of braid.
If you want a real squarebill then get a balsa squarebill.
Otherwise I'd suggest spro. Very versatile even though their bill isn't truly square.even. come through cover well and suspend which is great when hitting cover and pausing
I was thinking of the 4xhdi but I doubt the quality is there to justify the price.
I have a down imaging humminbird on the tracker and the DI isn't much different from sonar.
It's the 1000 dollar plus systems that have the real picture quality.
The old fuego was a dumbed down version of Daiwas flagship reel the TDZ.
The new fuego is a dumbed down version of Daiwas mid level reel the tatula.
If Daiwa was true to fuego name it would be a dumbed down Steez.
And for record...I'd be interested in one if it didn't use tatula frame. Oh and those extra bearings are bogus. All in handle and worm gear which is just fluff.
Caught a 5lb 10 oz lmb today on a size one hook on ML rod and 8 pound test.
That sucker fought like a 20 pound carp. I couldn't budge him and he kept digging for the bottom. After a couple minutes he wore out enough to pull him to surface long enough to net him (after he nearly surfaced then peeled off 20 feet of line).
Odds are the piece that looks like a buzz saw is on backwards. The way you have it the teeth slide off the catch that disengages thumb bar and engages gear. Flip the teeth around and it will catch and engage reel.
