  1. Just finished my anchor trolley tonight. Cant wait for the weekend. My better spots are deeper and offshore making it difficult to fish
  2. Its really not that deep unless you are sitting overtop the old river.
  3. How do bass tournaments effect the hitch spawn lol. Im pretty sure the bass that eat them dont just feast during tournaments.
  4. I got brown with ninja a close second. Those are very natural colors that depict many creatures that fall into water. But Siemantel swears by morning dawn and Ive seen many fish caught on it.
  5. Im getting a spro rat in mail tomorrow and plan to throw it until we get hard water. Ill be kayaking a pond this weekend and water temps are probably 55 to 60. Ive seen pictures of late season MS slammer and BBZ bass but is this something yall have experience with (looking at you bluebasser). Should I stick to it all day looking for one big bite? I have a tendency to lean on my dropshot at that pond.
  6. Green pumpkin senko and green pumpkin red flake senko look significanfly different. Some crawdads will look green pumpkin. Others will have a red hue to the green pumpkin.
  7. Apples to oranges. Seaguar has less options and their line has stretch. Its typically more manageable and tatsu is top of the line. Sunline has far more diversity. Typically less manageable due to lack of stretch. Shooter is top of the line and has very little stretch. I prefer sunline
  8. Its all good really and both directions have significant no wake zones. Most boaters head north towards dam and around towards other branch of the lake.
  9. "Real winter" means the lakes are frozen.
  10. Was windy yesterday in my lure 11.5 Drifting with it is a great idea...except 1. Bass were relating to specific cover and 2. Wind was blowing from 3 directions. Had to give up and now put in an amazon order to make trolley
  11. My lone crankbait box probably has that much or more in it.
  12. Tat reel mates well with tat rod. They were made for each other
  13. I'd second the KISS in regards to colors. There are a lot of skirt options out there to get you spun out. Bluegill colors are fine and I have some, but green pumpkin is also a very accurate representation sometimes more so than the skirts with large strands of orange and blue. I also use white which can be used in dirty water. I also have versions of both with chartreuse strands to make them stand out (and smallmouth love chartreuse). I use boottails almost exclusively for trailers.
  14. I bought a 1/4 revenge swimjig. Not much smaller than 3/8. Matches size of shad better and with a trailer it adds weight to toss it further.
  15. Go to the big bass zone website and look at their bbz rat videos
  16. Scents don't work for bass like they do a rutting buck. Scents are basically flavoring that keeps the bass munching on your bait while you stare at your smart phone.
  17. Tw has the bbz1 40mm rat for sale and probably the 30mm soon. Can't wait til my rat comes in the mail!
  18. Catching bass when others don't even leave the house is highly satisfying. If you wish to maximise success hit a power plant lake or go during or immediately after a warm rain and fish the feeder creeks.
  19. I had a boater show me a secret spot recently that we pulled 2 5 and a half pounders from in middle of lake. Nobody ever fished it and was sworn to secrecy. I'll never fish it unless I'm alone recreation fishing, with my dad or in a tournament that the boater is not in. He gave me a courtesy that helped me a lot and I don't plan on leaking it so everyone else will turn it into a community hole.
  20. Most soft plastics and hardbaits will weight 3/8 to 5/8. So any rod that handles that range will be good, which is typically MH.
  21. Just starting to skip you should turn brakes and tension up to wear you don't birdsnest when casting without your thumb...then back off with experience.
  22. I'll be brutally honest here. Its Wendy's. Not a career. There are other places. And in your boss's defense, she deals with manipulative entitled teenagers and middle age drug addicts on a daily basis. If you cconsistently are not treated with due respect then contact franchise owner or move on
  23. Get a qtip and run it around the guide. Cotton will get stuck to any abrasive edge
  24. Boat flipping double digit bass? Hahahahahahahaha
  25. With water The lure will sink into water if your angle is off. With concrete? You either smash your lure or it keeps sliding. You could try to keep the lure at as a straight trajectory as possible with it barely touching ground.
