  1. My two t3s cost on average 140 dollars. The 1016 spool alone is 70 dollars
  2. Daiwa t3 1016 Super amazing spool makes it effortless to pitch and skip. Also the hood allows you to reengage spool with one hand in case you get bit on fall.
  3. 2 issues come to mind.... 1. If the pads are thick like water shield it will be difficult to bring weight out of water at end of presentation. 2. The increased diameter could pop open bass mouth on hookset
  4. Im going to try sunline armilo this season
  5. Im sure they would work but does anyone have experience with spybaits in cold water? The warm rain and warm temps are thawing small impoundments and I'd like to try my new pink duo 90 for smallies
  6. Bass dont recognize brands Try a real small swimbait like gambler tz swimmer on a darter head
  7. Id say 6. All revenge baits in 1/4 to 3/8. Shad patterns, whites and chartrueses. I want to add a couple more 1/4oz deep runners as they mimic small shad perfectly
  8. I use 20lb pline cx premium for jigs and soft plastics....no issues but im going FC this year
  9. Ive had zero problems and has improved hookup ratio. The line simply doesnt have time to sink. Those who say you cant because the line sinks are just repeating what theyve read about.
  10. Ive seen bass in the small lake I fish chase trout. Id throw a swimbait more if there werent 40 inch musky ripping trout off bank fishermans hooks and stringers!
  11. Kind of looks shimano-esque
  12. Some theorize the belly gives bass a target to strike specifically. Same with black dots or chartreuse highlights around front treble
  13. I throw the 40 on a 7'4" daiwa frog rod. Rated up to 2 ounces. Loads perfectly
  14. The fat john rolls some but the lil john does not. If you want serious roll then get a balse squarebill
  15. Ive yet to find a creek without crawfish...and creeks feed most bodies of freshwater.
  16. Bass can see the sides of frogs and ive had success with bluegill colored frogs on small lakes when ive watched bass crushing them shallow (bluegill jumping out of water onto shore). Dad using a black frog at same time caught fish but not as many! In my view, white, black, bluegill, and browns.
  17. For everything I needed it only cost roughly 150. 200 max.
  18. Pretty much what dogbone said. On my lure 11.5 i have a lowrance elite 3 with lowrance scupper hole mount. I then have display mounted on left track with wires running behind foot rest and into center console compartment where I store the 12v battery. No drilling...just plug and play
  19. Its not the size that counts, it is how you use it.
  20. 6+ on black/blue rage blade with black/blue rage bug 5lb 10oz lmb on 4.5 roboworm on size 1 hook and 8lb line in 18fow.
  21. Omg what is that? Smaller frame tatula???!!!
  22. I dont like the widened reel frames. When i went from tatula to the new-to-me TDZ my mind was boggled. So much easier to hold tdz.
  23. Flambeau zrust boxes are legit. I wont store my go to lures in anything else
  24. I have more time to post now...trebled lures are pretty loose drag 50% maybe. Just want the drag to slip some with moderate pressure. Frogs jigs soft plastics is always 100%. Spinnerbaits buzzbaits and swimjigs are 75%. Spinning setups vary. Depends on line size, rod, and quality of drag. You should be adjusting drag on the fly.
  25. Also depends on ths drag itself. A stuttering drag is worse than setting it too light
