  1. I didnt have a chance to cite my source...that was from the live blog
  2. Wv only has KBF and its only in southern most part of WV...very depressing but im sure it will change.
  3. Randall Tharp's marshal's BASSTrakk device has flown overboard. Tharp's marshal reached out and confirmed that Tharp does indeed have a 5 bass limit worth just over 20 pounds. That should put him in contention at this point in the day.
  4. I wouldnt rely on basstrak on blog in this tourny....cell service is probably bad
  5. Yea ive noticed that before on mornings of tournament...no biggie itll be back. Ive got J Lee Scroggins Ish Rojas Benton
  6. Love all their products. Want an onimasu and their shad baits. Dont need the pencil popper. Their popper is very nice though. Small yes but is every bit as versatile during retrieve as a Lobina. Pops, chugs, spits, and blurps very well.
  7. Fairfax wma?
  8. I went out on small lake in eastern panhandle last weekend....temps were 40 degrees...no bites. You must have a spring in the lake
  9. I first tried them with a heavy xfast rod and missed a lot of fish (managed to get a 6.5 lber tho) Since then i switched to a modfast medium heavy and never miss a fish. They really get a chance to swallow it and the head/blade doesnt pop lure out of their mouth.
  10. Im looking at getting a lakemaster card for my Helix and have lookrd at the list of lakes for my state. My question is will it also contain basic maps of other small lakes not listed? The stock gps maps are generic and not accurate in lake shape or location.
  11. I dont think it makes a big difference honestly. The longer rod will be able to get a little more momentum on the swing and be more accurate but nothing a little experience couldnt do with shorter rod...however with shorter rod you can skip a little easier
  12. Here is the problem with the big O. Everyone loves flippin and pitching and there are a lot of big bass to be had and lots of room to do your own thing. Anyone in the field can win this thing. The difference being if someone is good with spawning bass and knows when to leave (or finding a spot to yourself with lots of big spawners to last 4 days).
  13. Irregardless, for all intensive purposes, there is no statue of limitations on what Daiwa can brand and market with their SV spool.
  14. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UY5uN-CmywM 6:15 mark
  15. This thread has me sitting on pins in needles
  16. Dont use your own ignorance as an escape goat to criticize Daiwa
  17. They have the fat john already baller And I saw it on his facebook recap of cherokee.
  18. Apparently coming out this summer. Has gill flair and slightly different body design. Looks like the hook hangers are protected by body sort of like timber tigers.
  19. Gambler little ez Durable with good price and action
  20. Picked up a 6 inch top hook osprey Not much different from hudd 68 but should be good.
  21. Just buy a 1016 spool
  22. Anyone have this rod? I have the 766 but i feel its very technique specific and therefore not a good representation of what phenix offers but is high quality. Im looking for a jerkbait rod firstand foremost...but want something i can also toss 1/4oz spinnerbaits and swimjigs as well as neko rigs and finesse jigs. Think this rod can do it all with an alpha sv105?
  23. I prefer santone As for trailers look on TW for anything that fancies you. Dont fall into the trap of thinking only x brand or y style works. Lots of good options out there that dont get marketed as intensely
  24. Spinnerbait when imitating small shad in windy conditions Chatterbait when fishing grass and want a larger profile (think sunfish or gizzard shad) Swim jig when fishing heavy cover or need finesse when spinnerbait isnt working (less flash and or vibration)
  25. Are there any programs or places where I can dispose of hooks? Im dulling them and putting them in pop bottles but that still bothers me as I feel there must be a way to recycle these instead of having them end up in a landfill. There are fishing line programs but Im not aware of hook programs
