I use a twistlock hook (owner beast 6/0 1/4oz) on a 5 inch swim bait, it keep the swimbait from rolling and get a decent depth...however skipping is not consistent and the screwlock style hooks 1. Catches vegetation and 2. Leads me to snagging on wood.
I also have been using gamblers hollow point which allows me to slither through all types of cover but I have to recess the line tie making the owner hook useless.
I need a hook that has a good wide gap for better hookups and comes in 1/8 or 1/4oz in 5/0 size. I thought about using tungsten puddy on a hook of my choosing...perhaps a jig hook?
