  1. Sigh. The monkey. Shimano reel foot doesn't fit in your $100 fenwick? Buy a Cumara. It's sure to fit there.
  2. We also can't have more than two hooks on a line. Watch your A rigs.
  3. Good grief. Where are you fishing that you're worried about messing up a $70 rod? 7' mh is a good frog rod.
  4. You could pair 8 lb invizx with 10 lb PP. I believe that it is pretty common. No buyer's remorse that way. Matching diameters is more important with a uni to uni knot. It matters much less with an Alberto.
  5. I've always liked Storm Thundersticks. $4 a pop and they are good if you want a floater. I also use X-raps with success.
  6. That would be a great 1/4 to 3/8 oz jig rod if the cover is moderate to sparse.
  7. Uni knot. Extra slobber.
  8. I am experiencing a similar shutdown in lower Michigan. Downsizing has brought in a few fish, but I can't hook up with anything consistently. Last night it seemed like there were no bass in the lake.
  9. Might be too much. I had a very nice time throwing 3/8 oz spinnerbaits with one and it felt like the sweet spot.
  10. Have you tried calling them? Email can get lost or sent to spam or all sorts of nonsense.
  11. Take it back. Screeching isn't normal.
  12. Not necessarily need, but I would like a 9:1 for frogs.
  13. Still only the RH ones. Laaame.
  14. I go as light as possible. 1/8 and 3/16 oz are my usual t-rig weights. A windy day calls for more weight. I also go light with jigs. I recently got some 1/4 oz Siebert jigs for fishing shallow. I like them.
  15. I'm running yellow with a leader. I dig it.
  16. I just hope Ndamukong Suh doesn't stomp on anyone this year.
  17. Seconded. Typed, double spaced, and on my desk tomorrow please.
  18. I am terrible with a spinning reel.
  19. Alberto is the way to go. Very easy knot to tie.
  20. Now that there's funny right there.
  21. I've just been dropping mine in their own spaces in a Plano 3701. Seems ok so far. I try to air them out first to avoid putting them away when they're very wet. One of my swim jigs stood up to a cat attack earlier. Top notch products.
  22. If you're going to throw Senkos, M-F would be my recommendation. Slightly off topic, I would recommend a spinning reel as well.
  23. I just use my ML 7' St. Croix. Steelies won't break your rods. Kings, yes. Kings are jerks. I think guys around here just drift spawn or skein under a balsa float. The 8'6" rods are good for that. I mostly throw spoons and various rapalas, mostly Huskies and Flat Raps.
